Since this site is very large, you can rent bicycles to enjoy this visit even more (the fee is not included in your tour price). After the wall, we will have lunch and go to learn about the Muslims of China during a visit to The Great Mosque of Xi’an. We will see this well-preserved place of worship of Muslims and then take a walk on Muslim Street to try some of their food and snacks or go shopping if possible.

Day 10 – The Beautiful City of Shanghai (B, L)
It is best to learn a little about the history and culture of Shanghai right after breakfast. That is why our first visit to the city will be to the Shanghai History Museum. Once we learn a little about the history of Shanghai, we will visit the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, also known as the TV Tower, where you can see the city from above this tower. After witnessing the Shanghai of today and becoming acquainted with its past, it is time to see its beauty, but before that, we will make a stop for lunch. Our next destination is Yu Garden, which is a place where you can see some amazing stone bridges, artificial hills, and clear ponds. There are also several buildings with unique architecture and special decorations as well as carvings in this garden, which make it a famous tourist attraction. We have also planned to take you for silk shopping if you like, just before calling it a day.
🏚️ Hotel Option: San Want Hotel or similar.
Day 11 – Departure from Shanghai (B)
In the morning we will have our last breakfast together as you will need to check out and head to the airport to catch the flight home. The easiest way to get there is by asking the hotel to call you a taxi. If your flight schedule allows, you can go and explore a bit before heading to the airport. If you wish to explore the city, you must keep the time on your mind and also ask the hotel or your guide about the traffic. China’s history was amazing. Tiananmen Square, the great wall, the temple of heaven, forbidden city, and other palaces, the culture, all of it were just great. The tour itself was managed quite fine, the accommodations and the transportation were good as compared with the price. The guide was really knowledgeable and helpful as well.

It was a fantastic journey! I never thought it was going to be this good! Excellent location, excellent hotels, excellent tour guide, excellent food, in excellent weather! They are definitely recommended for their excellent customer service. Everything went super smoothly for me.
Susan Dotson –
Fortunately, the planning was good enough that we could visit all the attractions included in the itinerary. Also, I loved the tour guides in our destinations. All of them provided us with great tips in different cities about foods and shopping. Besides, their information about attractions were fantastic. Thank you!
Lyndall –
This trip was excellent value for money. An interesting and varied itinerary which gave a look at 4 different cities and the major highlights. The guides were excellent, especially Michael in Beijing, Joy in Xi’an and Jolie? In Chengdu. They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I recommend them highly. At most sites there was no waiting in long queues and they gave excellent background information and advice on best viewing spots etc. Accommodation, in general, was excellent except for the very hard mattresses at the Mercure in Beijing. All locations were quite central and within walking distance of cafes, shops. Some expectations for the pickup drivers needs to be looked at. Our driver was not there to pick us up at the train station in Xi’an or the one at the airport in Shanghai. This was disappointing and caused us some angst on an otherwise very enjoyable trip.

The tour was nice from start to finish. I liked the destinations and the attractions, especially Shanghai and Xian. However, I think the airport drop off should be included in the tour.

Honestly one of the best tours that I could have gone on in China. I didn’t want to travel through China on my own and so this tour went to all of the places that I wanted to go to and did everything on my list. I had multiple tour guides on this trip, all of which were very well preserved in English as well as their own native language. They made sure that I had transportation and that I was at the train station on time as well as the airports. They were at each station waiting for me and were very kind and knowledgeable. overall I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend this tour.
Arnel Benoza –
The tours gave an insight to China’s rich history from past dynasties to the present modern world. The Great Wall, Terracotta Army, Pandas, and the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower are a must see. Our guides were very knowledgeable and overall helpful. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Zackary –
Tour guides were exceptionally friendly and well versed in English. Food and local cuisine was fantastic and the history was well versed and told. The accommodation was outstanding and the staff at every hotel was very helpful and all around polite. Any issues and they would try to help you out no matter what the issue (make sure to have a translator app if you don’t know Chinese). When you have free time the public are very friendly and the restaurants have a lot of staff who try very hard to help and try to talk to you in English. Overall very very pleased with this trip. I would suggest that in-transit days – packed lunches are available along with bottled water as locating food on the journeys can be challenging, also that the option of dinner on the transit day also be offered

Hello Zackary On behalf of all the Trip Ways team, we would like to thank you for booking your tour with us and also appreciate your great feedback. It was our pleasure having you on board and we hope to see you again in China!

Honestly I was the only person on this itinerary. That was fine, but I didn’t know it until I arrived that I would be put with other groups who were doing different things. I did not get to see the Terracotta warriors museum, we only saw the pits. Also, the transportation information was horrible. I kept having to reach out to my first tour guide to find out what I was doing next such as flight numbers and train tickets. In each transfer I was dropped off by a non-English speaking driver. That was fine for the airports since most airports operate the same way, but it was terrible for catching the train to Chengdu. The driver was 20 minutes late for pickup that morning. He just dropped me off at the train station with no information. (He also dropped me off at the wrong spot.) Since he did not speak English he could not tell me where to go. I had to contact my first tour guide to get information on where to pick up my ticket then navigate the train station by myself. Though the tour guides themselves were very good the tour logistics felt VERY disorganized and like my travel arrangements were being arranged at the last minute. My suggestions would be to let someone know if they are being put with different tour groups and to provide all logistical travel arrangements at the beginning of the tour as well as information on where and how to navigate train stations and airports. Also make sure that all transfer drivers speak English.

Hi Melissa Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are sorry to hear that you didn’t have the best experience regarding transportation. We try our best to improve our transport logistics to deal with busy hours of Beijing and Shanghai and be more accurate and on-time. Also since you were the only passenger on that specific date, there were some complications that we sincerely apologize for that. On behalf of all the Trip Ways team we appreciate your business and we hope to see you again in beautiful China soon!
