Once welcomed by our guide, you will get some instructions and then head out to your hotel for check-in. Day 2 – Beijing Monuments Full-Day Tour (B, L)
After having breakfast in your hotel, you will meet your tour guide and other group members and we will take you directly to your first destination, Tiananmen Square by private car or van. Not only one of the largest squares in the world, but this place is also famous for all the events that have taken place in Chinese history. Cross the street is your next destination, The Forbidden City which is an imperial palace and you will take 2 hours walking tour around Forbidden City.
By the time we finish this visit, it will be time for lunch in a nice local Chinese restaurant. After our lovely lunch and in the afternoon, we will head to the Temple of Heaven. This temple is one of the largest and most important places of worship in Beijing, which is also unique in its architecture.
In the evening, you will go to the Red Theater to watch the exciting Chinese Kung Fu Show. The Legend of Kung Fu Show, which premiered at Beijing’s Red Theater in 2004, tells the story of a young monk who dreams of one day becoming a kung fu master. The best Kong Fu practitioners from all across China tell the story through Chinese martial arts, traditional and modern dance, and Chinese acrobatics.
🏚️ Hotel Option: Mercure Wanshang Hotel or similar.
Day 3 – Great Wall of China – Summer Palace (B, L)
You will start your day with a full buffet breakfast in the hotel and prepare to see one of the seven wonders of our world. Our first destination for the day is The Great Wall of China, but since the wall is very long, we have selected one of the most famous and at the same time, less crowded sections. We will take you to the Mutianyu Section and then hike up and down the wall. You can also take a cable car to ascend and use a toboggan to climb down the wall which is optional and the price is not included in the tour.
After lunch and a short stop at Jade Factory, we will head to Summer Palace, a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens, and palaces in Beijing. Summer Palace is a lavish lakeside retreat from the heat of Beijing. With pavilions, walkways, gardens, and bridges, the UNESCO World Heritage site on Kunming Lake served as the seat of government for Empress Dowager Cixi during the last years of her life.
Kunming Lake is the most attractive water feature a short distance from downtown Beijing, where it covers three-quarters of the total area of the Summer Palace grounds. Hiring a boat is a good choice to visit the lake in the Summer Palace (not included). There are different kinds of boats varying in size, startups, and close time.
Our plans for this day will end with a Tea Ceremony in a local tea house, which will help in better understanding the culture of Chinese people.
🏚️ Hotel Option: Mercure Wanshang Hotel or similar.
Day 4 – Hutongs of Beijing – Leaving for Xi’an (B)
Today you can get the chance to see some of the old neighborhoods of Beijing in a visit to one of the Hutongs of Beijing and take a walk there to discover more of China. We will take you back to your hotel in the afternoon to check out of the hotel and leave Beijing. You will board the bullet train and head to Xian. While on the train, you can also enjoy the ride and the environment around you. Once in Xian, your guide will welcome you into this city and take you to your hotel, where you will be staying.

Day 5 – Essential Full-Day Xi’an Tour (B, L, D)
Your first morning in Xi’an will begin with breakfast at the hotel. Then you will be taken to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and after that, a pottery-making factory. By the time this visit ends, it will be time for our lunch in a fine local Chinese restaurant, where we can try some of their Chinese dishes.
After lunch, we can head out to discover more about the temples of China. Your guide will take you to see the Small Wild Goose pagoda. Located next to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and amidst water fountains and a well-tended garden is Xi’an Museum, a great choice to learn more about Chinese history in Xi’an.
At night, we arrange dinner and you will have one of the most famous Chinese food called Dumplings at a local restaurant, and also watch the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.

When we arrive, your guide will take you to your new hotel for check-in. You have the rest of the day to yourself. You can go anywhere you want for lunch and dinner and even explore the city. Day 8 – Giant Pandas – Jinsha Site Museum (B)
Today is scheduled to visit China’s national treasure, giant pandas at the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The morning is the best time to watch active pandas. You will surely enjoy seeing panda bears eating bamboo or playing with each other.
Your guide will take you to wide and narrow allies of Chengdu to walk around to pick a restaurant and have your lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Jinsha Site Museum where you can watch a 4D film “Dream Back to Jinsha”. This gives you a chance to understand how life was 2,000 years ago.

Day 9 – Departure from Chengdu (B)
On our last day, we will first have our last breakfast together and then we must check out from the hotel to return home. If you have time and have an accurate timetable planned, you can also go exploring a little longer. In any case, we are ready to provide you with any information you require. We can also suggest several other tours which can start right after finishing this 9-day tour. Contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this tour or any other available traveling plans. We wish you a memorable visit and hope you enjoy the Greatness of China!

The short version of this review is that this tour was worth the price- when we looked it was the only tour we could find which did both the pandas and the great wall (two of the things we wanted to see) in a short time frame. The Pandas in Chengdu were the highlight of the tour for us (and if you’re looking to tack a few extra days on in Chengdu we’d recommend it!) The guide’s English was good and the hotels were all high quality. There were however some technical issues which could have been better though (which is why this is only 4 stars) Long Review: Beijing: While still enjoyable was probably our least favorite part of the tour. The historical locations (forbidden city, temple of heaven, summer palace, great wall) were great, although except the great wall and the temple of heaven your time here does feel a little rushed. You also visit a jade factory, pearl farm and tea house while here- but these kinds of feel more like advertisements for the business’ rather than a “true” tourist activity (although that could just be personal taste) Finally this leg also suffered from the hotel location, while the rooms are top notch the hotel is a bit too far from the center of the city so you won’t be able to walk around at night to revisit any of the locations (it also takes around an hour drive to get to any of the locations from the hotel) Xi’an: This location was great, the hotel was within walking distance of a few things and all of the attractions were amazing Chengdu: This was by far our favorite location of the tour, the hotel was in the middle of town, the pandas were awesome to see and the tour guide was fantastic

I would like to thank you for this package, from the hotel to the tour guide, everything was fine. I really liked the train (it was rather long but not very boring since the scenery was very pretty). Beijing and Xi’an were great historical cities and Chengdu was really beautiful.

I used to go to China for work until a few years ago but this time I came with my family which was very nice. Visiting lovely Pandas was really fun; however, the highlights were walking on the great wall and visiting historical monuments of Xi’an

I’ve had some of my best experiences while traveling to east and visiting nice and kind locals. This tour made amazing memories for us. I would love to visit Shanghai as well, maybe next time with you again 🙂

Visiting giant pandas was really cool. Experiencing this fantastic tour with fascinating attractions. There was some time management issue in the tour and from time to time we had to wait for the bus to arrive. Otherwise everything went as planned.

The thrill to see pandas was too much that I wanted to start my review of this tour by that. Chengdu was a green and lovely city and a good place if you love nature. If you are into gastronomy, you will not be disappointed here. The Terracotta Warriors in Xian was also a very interesting place to visit, a true handmade masterpiece. Beijing was very beautiful too, but the other two were less crowded and had a clearer sky which made them more lovely to me.

It was so good that we got to see the Pandas, such lovely animals. At first, I thought walking in the Great Wall will be tiring but our guide, who was full of energy assured us that we can have an amazing time. thanks for the good price and fantastic tour.

Everything was very good, the hotel, the guide, transportation but for me the highlight was seeing the pandas! Ever since I was a young boy I wanted to see one and I had the chance. Thanks for making it happen!
TripWays –
Thank you Kimberly. We are glad that you enjoyed your tour and gave us great feedback. Pandas are looking forward to meeting with you soon!

I really enjoyed the tour and I loved the destinations especially Beijing and Xi’an. The Great Wall, Pandas, and historical attractions of Xi’an were highlights of the tour. There were some issues like traffic jam in Beijing and Crowded attractions; but the price was really reasonable.

The tour group was small and felt like a personal private tour. I enjoyed every part of the tour. The tour leaders were personable and knowledgeable. I had an amazing trip. Hotel accommodations were nice.

I’d say that this tour definitely worth the price. I checked so many different options before I go and it was the best price, then I was not sure if this company is actually giving me a good service. However I trusted the reviews I read and I booked. I was surprised by the quality of the service. There were some minor issues that could be better, but generally it was a great choice and I suggest taking this tour.
