🏁 Tour Itinerary: Adventure in Montenegro

Day 1: Tivat Airport – Perast

Meet your local guide at your arrival at Tivat airport, transfer to Perast of, and drop off your luggage at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Perast.

🏚️ Accommodation: Vila Perast or similar.

 

Day 2: Perast – Kotor – Perast

After breakfast, reach the port of Perast and embark on a boat to discover the Bay of Kotor. Visit the famous “Notre-Dame-du-Rocher” cathedral located on a small island in the middle of the Bay of Kotor.
Return to Perast and seafood lunch in an Eco-restaurant. You will experience one of the only oyster farms in Montenegro and learn the process of raising oysters and mussels on the farm.
Start a sightseeing tour of Kotor, a UNESCO-listed coastal town famous for its Adriatic fjord, city walls and, Venetian past. Visit the old town which was built between the 12th and 14th centuries and which is full of historical monuments of medieval architecture.
Dinner in Kotor and overnight stay of Perast.

Day 3: Kotor – Hike Lovćen – Njeguši – Cetinje

After breakfast, head on the “Serpentine Road” and enjoy one of the best views on Kotor’s Bay. Start a hike through the Lovćen National Park by an old caravan trail to reach the mausoleum of Petar Petrovic Njegos, at the top of “Mount Lovćen”.
Arriving at the top, you will enjoy the views of the Boka Kotorska on one side and the Durmitor mountains on the other (picnic lunch during the hike).
Return to the starting point then set off towards Njeguši for a tasting of local hams.
Reach Cetinje, Montenegrin historic capital. Drop off your luggage at your hotel and enjoy its swimming pool after your day of hiking. Dinner and overnight in Cetinje.

Day 4: Cetinje – Ostrog – Durmitor

After breakfast, start a walk-in Cetinje, “capital of the throne” where the President of Montenegro still resides in “the Blue Palace”.
Reach the Orthodox Monastery of Ostrog. the magnificent monastery built in the rocks of Ostroska Greda dating back to the 17th century. It is one of Montenegro’s must-sees and one of the most visited monasteries in the Balkans. Lunch in a restaurant close to the Monastery.
Then continue your journey to reach an Eco-village in Durmitor near Zabljak. Drop off your luggage in your chalet then share with your hosts to learn more about the life of the local inhabitants in the Mountains.
Discover the local cheese-making process.
Possibility of milking cows or sheep (depending on the period)
Traditional dinner with local specialties from Durmitor.

🏚️ Overnight in the Eco-village. Ethno Katun Durmitor.

 

Day 5: Durmitor – Brijeg

Breakfast with a breath-taking view of the region then briefing on the day to come.
After receiving the safety instructions, start your day of horseback riding in the beautiful landscapes of the Durmitor Mountains (limited to 10 people).
You will enjoy a beautiful day of discovery with your guide by discovering what makes Montenegro so rich.
Return to the village then continue your journey to reach the rafting camp located at the intersection of the Piva and Tara rivers from where you will start the descent the next morning. Drop off your luggage in your room and enjoy this magnificent natural space to relax.
Dinner and overnight stay at the rafting camp.

Day 6: Brijeg – Biogradska Gora – Virpazar

After breakfast, get ready for a morning rafting trip in the Tara Canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world.
Enjoy the adrenaline rush of a 14-kilometer rafting trip through Durmitor National Park and the beautiful Tara Canyon. At the end of the rafting enjoy traditional cuisine for lunch.
During the afternoon, you will discover and walk on the impressive Đurđevića Tara Bridge to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the canyon. You will have the opportunity to make a zip line 1 kilometer long.
Go in the direction of the “Biogradska Gora” National Park. Discover this National Park also called “the last jungle in Europe” containing a unique natural wealth recognized for the purity of its water.
You will finally reach the village of Virpazar, a charming fishing village located on the shores of Lake Skadar. Dinner in a restaurant boat on Lake Skadar and overnight in Virpazar.

Day 7: Virpazar – Godinje – Budva

After breakfast, collect your equipment and start a kayaking excursion on Lake Skadar, considered the heart of Montenegro, it is the largest lake in the Balkan region that stretches across Montenegro and Albania.
Reach the historic village of Godinje located in the heart of the most famous Montenegrin wine region, which is also part of the Skadar Lake National Park. You will visit a village family who has been producing wine for at least five centuries and enjoy stone houses, forming a unique village that the state of Montenegro has designated as a heritage site – the historic hamlet of Godinje. Tasting of wines, rakias, liqueurs, and local products in the village.
Continue on to Budva along the Montenegrin coastline and stop at the famous Sveti Stefan peninsula, a former fishing village turned into a luxury resort, to take pretty photos of this architectural wonder.
Dinner and overnight stay in Budva.

Day 8: Budva – Tivat Airport

After breakfast, free time until your transfer at the airport for your return flight.
