🏁 Tour Itinerary: 7 Day to The Atlas and Imperial Cities of Morocco Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Transfer to your accommodation from the airport according to your arrival, and these possible to visit the city of Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast in your riad, leave from Marrakech towards Ouarzazate by the Tizi n Tichka, along the beautiful hills and mountains of the Atlas. There will be breaks for the photos, then we will take a path from Telouet to visit its magnificent Kasbah called Glaoui. After visiting the Kasbah, you will have the opportunity to walk in the beautiful villages of the hills and cultures of the Atlas. Then we will continue our route to Ait ben Haddou Kasbah; which is marked as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After lunch, we will continue our route to Ouarzazate “or” Hollywood of Africa “, whose geography and beautiful landscapes have attracted many world-class film producers. Here you can visit the studios, containing props used in movies, such as The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ. Then we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt, another Kasbah of the Glaoui family who served as governor of Ouarzazate, before registering at your Hotel.
Day 3: Quarzazate – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we will go to the Gorges de Toudra via the palm grove of Skoura. But, before arriving at the gorge, we will cross the valley of Roses, then we will continue to pare the valley of Dades. Bomalne these a very renovated town located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains before reaching the Todra Gorge. After lunch, we will drive to Merzouga through a number of towns and villages, including Erfoud. Before arriving at Erfoud, you will see the old irrigation system locally called “Khettarat”. Continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. We now move from our vehicle to camels, where you will be camelid around the sand dunes, enjoying the sunset before arriving at the Berber Bivouac. Dinner and show, a night at Sahara Camp.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifran – Fez
After breakfast, we will leave through the vast valley of Ziz which contains millions of palm trees until Errachidia. We drive through the gorges of Ziz and then the Middle Atlas with its beautiful views. We stop at Midelt for lunch. After lunch, we will drive to Fez crossing the cedar forest of Azrou; the largest in Morocco; stop for photos with Barbary’s monkeys. Then continue to Ifrane called “Little Switzerland of Morocco” because of its European form of buildings. We arrive in Fez in the afternoon. Housing the riad.
Day 5: Visit of Fez: Guided City Tour of Fes
In the morning we start to visit its main monuments and historical sites; as Medersa Bouaananiya, University of Karaouiyine labeled the oldest university. Visit the king palace, the beautiful panoramic view of Fes, walk in the old Berber markets in old Fes. Overnight in the Riad.
Day 6: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Rabat
Departure early in the morning after breakfast towards Meknes. The visit begins with a visit to the ramparts with monumental 17th-century gates Bab Mansour, Bab Khemis. We continue to explore the city by stables (Rua), granaries (HERI), Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail was for a long time the only mosque that non-Muslims can visit in Morocco advent Hassan mosque 2, then by the famous Bab Mansour El on the vast Hedim Square. Day 7: – Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
After breakfast, a day dedicated to the visit of the city of Rabat, you will take a guided tour and we will visit the Kasbah Oudayas, erected by a terrible tribe of predators in the twelfth century. Then we visit the tower Hassan, where 4 facades are decorated differently from each other, 3 in pink stones and 1 in the gray because of the sea breeze, the remains of the old mosque, and the mausoleum Mohamed 5 next door of the tower. After the visit to Rabat, we will drive through the highway to reach Casablanca, once in Casablanca, we will visit the Hassan II mosque the largest mosque after Mecca with its wonderful architecture after the visit we will stop for lunch in a local restaurant on the Cornish before continuing our journey to Marrakech.
