Day 1: Arrive in Hyderabad

On arrival at Hyderabad airport assistance & transfer to hotel (hotel check-in/ out time 12 pm). Rest time free to relax and personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Hyderabad (B)

City tour of Hyderabad a 400-year-old metropolitan city teeming with bustling bazaars and Muslim monuments. Visit Golconda Fort renowned for its diamond mines that have given the world-famous Kohinoor and Darya-i-Noor diamonds. The ancient fort complex of Golconda will charm you with its history, tinged with legends and anecdotes. Qutub Shahi Tombs is a group of small and big mosques and tombs built by the rulers of the Qutub Shahi dynasty on a raised platform and have a dome-shaped structure. Charminar built-in 1591 by Quli Qutub Shah is an identifying landmark of Hyderabad. It is also famous for the market that sprawls around it called Laad Bazaar. Salar Jung Museum (Friday closed) is a treat for tourists famous for being the third-largest museum in the country, having the largest antique collection dating back to the first century. Chowmahalla Palace (Friday closed) was the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty where the Nizams entertained their official guests and royal visitors. Birla Mandir is made of pure white Rajasthani marble the temple beauty leaves you awestruck. Also drive and pass Hussain Sagar Lake one of the largest man-made lakes renowned for its monolith of Lord Buddha placed right at the center of the lake. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Hyderabad – Nanded (305kms) (B)

Drive to Nanded via Bidar. Visit Bidar Fort one of the magnificent forts rebuilt by Sultan Ahmed Shah Wali of the Bahmani Dynasty, when his capital was moved from Gulbarga to Bidar in 1430 AD along with a number of Islamic monuments. The Bidar Fort is a specimen of Persian architecture, surrounded by three miles long walls and comprising 37 bastions, triple moat & seven gates. Bahmani Tombs the 12 tombs of Bahmani Sultans are huge structures with beautiful arches, niches, and lofty domes. The Rangeen Mahal was built in the mid-16th century, the tile work, and the granite with mother-of-pearl inlay work are the exclusive features of the citadel walls. Narasimha Jhira is a wonderful cave temple situated on the outskirts of Bidar town dedicated to the lion god Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Temple is known for its natural beauty and is considered to be very sacred. Arrive Nanded check-in & overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Nanded – Aurangabad (265kms) (B)

Visit Hazur Sahib Gurudwara one of the five takes in Sikhism built at the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji left his earthly life. The inner room of the gurdwara Angitha Sahib is built over the place where Guru Gobind Singh was cremated. Drive to Nanded via visiting Aundha Nagnath (Nageshwaram Temple) built by the Seuna dynasty in the 13th century. The first temple is said to be from the time of the Mahabharata and is believed to have been constructed by Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas. The Temple building was seven stories before it was sacked by Aurangzeb. Arrive Aurangabad check-in & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Aurangabad (B)

Excursion to visit the Ellora Caves (Tuesday closed), a UNESCO World Heritage Site from about 200 BC. to 650 AD. There are 34 monasteries and temples at Ellora, belonging to the three different religions Buddhism, Hinduism & Jainism. Grishneshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines mentioned in the Shiva Purana. On way back visit Daulatabad Fort one of the most powerful forts of the medieval Deccan. Later visit Bibi ka Maqbara built-in 1678 is a son loving tribute to his mother, Panchakki which discharged water on the wheel to power the flour mill and grind grain for the pilgrims & Aurangabad Caves artificial caves that were dug out of soft rock during the 6th & 7th century. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Aurangabad – Ajanta (210kms round) (B)

Excursion to Ajanta (Monday closed). The Buddhist Caves of Ajanta were discovered by the British officers in 1819 while hunting the tiger. Ajanta Caves were first mentioned in the writings of the Chinese pilgrim Hiuen Tsang who visited India between AD 629 and 645. The Caves at Ajanta are older than those at Ellora which date from about 200 BC to 650 AD. Thirty beautiful Buddhist Caves with mesmerizing sculptures and paintings depicting Buddha`s life as well the lives of the Buddha in his previous births. Five of these Caves are Chaityas (Place of worship) while the other twenty-five are Viharas (monasteries). Ajanta Caves are divided into two categories based on two schools of Buddhist thought – Hinayana Caves and Mahayana Caves. Drive back to Aurangabad for an Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Aurangabad – Nashik (170kms) (B)

Drive to Nashik via visiting Shirdi known as the home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba. The Samadhi Mandir shrine has an ornate marble statue of Sai Baba, alongside his tomb. Close by are Dwarkamai, a mosque where Sai Baba once lived, and tree-lined Lendi Garden.
Arrive Nashik check-in at the hotel. Nashik the ancient holy city is known for its links to Ramayana the epic poem. Visit the Panchavati Temple complex on the bank of Godavari River which includes Ram Kund where Lord Rama is believed to have bathed in the water tank. Shri Kalaram Sansthan Mandir is an ancient shrine to Lord Rama, and Sita Gufaa caves. Also visit Sundarnarayan Temple, ISKCON Temple & millennium-old Pandavleni Caves. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Nashik – Kevadia (350kms) (B, L, D)

Excursion to visit Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlingas Temple, constructed by the third Peshwa Balaji Bajirao (1740-1760) at the site of an even older temple at the foot of the Brahmagiri Hill, flanked by the hills of Nilagiri and Kalagiri. Made entirely of black stone, it is a beautiful pilgrimage center for Hindus, dedicated to Lord Shiva. River Godavari originates from Kusavarta, a pond within the temple premises. While you are here, you can also explore the impressive Brahmagiri Fort, and Gangadwar, located in close vicinity to the temple. Later drive to Kevadia, check-in & overnight at tent city/ hotel.

Day 9: Kevadia (B, L, D)

Visit the world’s tallest Statue of Unity. The high-speed elevators will take you to a height of about 400 feet through the core of the statue where you can get a panoramic view of the surroundings. Later visit Sardar Sarovar Dam, Selfie Point & Valley of Flowers. Evening light & sound show at Statue of Unity (Monday closed). The colorful laser lighting system is accompanied by an excellent narration of the history & life of Sardar Patel, his contribution to the independence movement & the unification of India as one nation. Overnight in tent city/ hotel.

Day 10: Kevadia – Vadodara (150kms) (B)

Drive to Vadodara by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pavagadh-Champaner. The site encompasses forts, temples, mosques, mausoleum complexes, pavilions, wells, and tanks built around 1523 in Indo-Saracenic architecture. Continue to drive to Vadodara and check-in at the hotel. Rest time free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Vadodara – Departure (B)

City tour of Vadodara. Visit Lakshmi Vilas Palace the largest private dwelling built to date four times the size of Buckingham Palace. Also, visit Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum & Kirti Mandir.Β Later transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
