🏁 Tour Itinerary: Morocco Tours from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

The driver will pick you from your hotel in Casablanca in the morning and we can make a quick visit to the impressive Mosque of Hassan II, built-in 1993 by a team of over 6000 craftsmen. Located on the shores of the city it is an imposing edifice and one of the few mosques in Morocco that foreigners can enter. Afterward, we will leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, you will see the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah before you check into your accommodation.

 

Day 2: Rabat – Asilah

After breakfast in your hotel/Riad, we will drive to the city of Asilah. Most of the drive will be by the coast. Arriving at Asilah, you will have the opportunity to explore the city. Asilah is known for its annual festival for art as most of the walls of the Medina are painted by various famous artists from all over the world. Your visit includes the Skalla fortress, where you will experience a wonderful view of the Medina and the ocean before we check into your hotel.

 

Day 3: Asilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will depart for Chefchaouen. Our first stop will be in Tangier where is famous for its fortified Kasbah. Here you can take a walk to the hills of Tangier and enjoy the views of the Strait of Gibraltar. Continuing our travel southeast to Chefchaouen, in the rugged Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is famed for its blue-painted walled medina, giving it the nickname of the ‘Blue Pearl.’ Arrival after about 2 hours and check into your accommodation.

 

Day 4: Chefchaouen

Today you will have a full day to explore Chefchaouen, a small town with a stunning walled medina. Enjoy a walking tour through Chefchaouen’s cobbled medina, absorbing the Moorish and Spanish atmosphere. Admire the striking blue-and-white houses and visit the 18th-century kasbah, with its tower, garden, and museum. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen and features a kasbah built in the 18th century, a central mosque, and cafés with authentic Moroccan menus.
The town itself is easy to explore. Although the old medina is small, and you’ll find souks offering an array of goods. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

 

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes

This morning, after breakfast, we will go to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage town, an ancient Roman settlement. Here you can admire the alleyways, gates, monuments, and mosaic floors. Dating from the 2nd and 3rd centuries, the Roman ruins here are considered the best-preserved in Morocco. Later arriving in Meknes, a World Heritage Unesco Site and one of the 4 Imperial cities of Morocco. Meknes, the site of the first Arab dynasty created by Moulay Ismail, and here you can visit the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, the Gateway to Moulay Ismail Palace. Check into your accommodation.

 

Day 6: Meknes – Fez

This morning after breakfast in your riad, we will take the way to Fez. Arriving in Fes early, because is about 1h 30 driving from Meknes, and check into your accommodation. You will have almost a full day to explore the city on your own and “get lost” in the thousands of narrow alleyways in this ancient medieval city.

 

Day 7: Fez sightseeing

After breakfast, you will meet with a local official tourist guide to exploring Fez, the most ancient and holy of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina. A labyrinth of narrow streets, alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys, and mules transporting their loads. Visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. Finish your tour with a visit to Fes Jdid, and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view of Fes.

Day 8: Fez- Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt

After breakfast at your hotel in Fez. we will start our journey driving to the south of Morocco via the middle Atlas Mountains. You will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco to enjoy its beauty and to have some memorable photos. After that, you will head toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest. Later we will reach Midelt and check into your accommodation.

 

Day 9: Midelt – Merzouga – Luxury Desert Camp

After breakfast, we will start our trip to Merzouga. We will cross the pass of Tizi N Talghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges. Later you will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Aoufous and Erfoud. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. In the afternoon get ready for a camel trek for an hour to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp. Dinner and spend the night in a luxury bivouac tent in the middle of the dunes.

 

Day 10: Erg-Chebbi dunes – Erfoud – Tinejdad – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert and then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tineghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrive at Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot. Later on, we drive to Boumalne du Dades and stopping for a panoramic view of Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

 

Day 11:Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

This morning after breakfast in the hotel, we depart to Marrakech. The next site to visit is the Rose Valley going through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place to contemplate more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. In this Valley damascenes, roses are raised for cosmetic use such as the valued rosewater. The next stop is in Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” which in the Berber language means “noiseless or without confusion”. Here we´ll see the Taourirt kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. Stopping for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the Atlas film studios. After that, we continue to the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Free time for lunch in town. In the afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrive at  Marrakech in the afternoon and check into your accommodation.

 

Day 12: Marrakech Sightseeing

Today you will have a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official guide. You will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina, and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic school, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. Overnight in a Riad in the Medina.

 

Day 13: Marrakech Day Trip to Ourika Valley

Today you will have the opportunity to visit the Ourika valley with its many waterfalls and wonderful nature.
Your Ourika valley day trip starts at 09 am from your accommodation in Marrakech and after a short drive from Marrakech. We will take the road along the valley of Ourika and making stops on the way to see wonderful landscapes full of vibrant colors. Later on, we will continue our tour to reach Setti Fatma, a favorite weekend destination for many Moroccans. Highly appreciated for its beautiful streams and 7 waterfalls, beautiful cliffs, green valleys. You will explore a region that still practices a medieval agricultural tradition. Walk around the valley to take photos of the views of green terraces, surrounding the Atlas Mountains. We will stop for lunch in a nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountains before we return to Marrakech around 05 pm. Overnight in a Riad.

 

Day 14: Marrakech – Essaouira

Depart from Marrakech for the seaside town of Essaouira. A relaxing drive lined with argan oil cooperatives will take you to this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. The windswept fishing port, with broad beaches and ancient walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs, has long been a popular destination. With its relaxed feel, take in the small but lively medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch. The Gnaouas Music Festival is held in Essaouira in June. Overnight in Essaouira.

 

Day 15: Essaouira – Day Trip to Sidi Kaouki

This morning we will depart for Sidi Kaouki. After about 30 minutes of driving, we will reach this beautiful village. The inviting blue ocean is a constantly varied adventure for surfers, kitesurfers, and windsurfers. And it’s simply heaven for anyone who adores the sun, sand, and sea. Sidi Kaouki is a great place to surf for all levels! In the village, you will find many surf shops that offer equipment rental. Ride along the beach on a camel or galop with a horse, it is a great experience, especially around sunset!
In the afternoon we will drive back to Essaouira and overnight in the Riad.

 

Day 16: Essaouira – El Jadida – Casablanca

After breakfast in the Riad, you will depart to Casablanca. Continue your journey up the Atlantic Coast and pass through El Jadida, a small port city, formerly controlled by the Portuguese, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Arriving at Casablanca, check into your accommodation and overnight.

 

Day 17: Transfer to the Airport in Casablanca

Transfer to the airport of Casablanca up to your flight time and this is the end of our services.
