🏁 Tour Itinerary: The Panama Experience
Day 1: Explore Panama Canal – Casco Antiguo – Panama City – Shopping (L)
Panama Canal The Trade Mark of the Region, the transcontinental water bridge, a world-renown work of engineering of the 20th century that today is still impeccable and unique. Learn the history of the men and women behind this world masterpiece, who they were, and where they came from, and most importantly get to know Panamá, its people, tradition, culture, and the important role of Panama in the region and what drives its economy. You will be able to visit former US military bases, a stop at the indigenous handicraft market for souvenirs such as a Panama Hat, Molasses and also a stop at the Duty-Free on the Island of Flamenco, where you can buy products made in Panama, such as Rums, Chocolate, the best coffee in the world and more. We invite you to discover the 2nd Old Square of Panama (Casco Antiguo) let every stone and buildings of the Colonial Town fill you with joy and wonder. One hour lunch stop is included.
Day 2: Three Historical Sites – Portobelo, Panama Canal Expansion & Railroad (L)
The ruins of Portobelo speak volumes of the prosperity of the world heritage site, colonial custom, museum, churches, traditions, forts, and the Black Christ. Travel back to the 16th century to learn about Portobelo’s wealth, geographic position importance, and its combined cultures and lifestyles, then come back to the present days to understand the contribution made, its people, culture, and wealth. Visit the new locks of the canal (Aguas Claras) a 21st-century masterpiece, and to top up your experience take a ride on the over 150 years railroad financed and built by the United States of America, dated from the 19th century the construction of the first transcontinental Railroad in the region; the train takes you from Colon to Panama City and provides an outstanding experience of the canal landscape, lakes, rivers, flora, and fauna. We have combined 3 cities to relate the events that took place in 3 different centuries to bring you to the uttermost historical experience you might ever have.
Day 3: Anton Valley Uniqueness (L)
A small and beautiful town located one hour and a half from the metropolitan area, between elevated mountains, we have an old crater that today is a town of 8000 people. A place loved by many both locals and ex-pats for many reasons. The town is situated in an old volcano that erupted 1000 years ago, the weather is nice and cozy, the people are friendly, the natural beauty of the town is what makes it unique and special to so many. It is a quiet place but the villagers are very joyful, welcoming. Walk through a rain forest and appreciate the waterfall, visit the different species of animals there are at the zoo, such as Capuchin monkey, refresh yourself in the hot spring to rejuvenate your skin, and discover the town.
