African Safari to Kenya Tanzania and Zanzibar

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi (D, B)

Arrival in Nairobi, upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, meet and greet by our customer service representative afterward you will be assisted to board your vehicle for your transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight. Accommodation can be upgraded to higher-level options (at extra costs) or downgraded to more economic ones (price reduction).

Day 2: Nairobi City – Aberdares National Park (L, D)

(Nairobi to Aberdare 220 Kilometers, Approximately – 3½ Hours drive). Depart Nairobi after breakfast. Our destination today is the Aberdare National Park. We travel overland through plantations of coffee and tea to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. After lunch, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. This outstanding lodge offers high-altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: Giant forest hog, Bushpig, Tree Hyrax, large Spotted Genet, and the elusive Bongo Antelope.
Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy. You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or large male Lion might put in an appearance.

Day 3: Aberdares National Park – Samburu National Reserve (B,L,D)

Early breakfast then drives to Samburu NR, see the countryside of Kenya and Great Rift Valley lunch midway and arrival in the park for afternoon game drive. Samburu NR has several large game species common to Kenya’s northern plains that can be found in abundance here, including the following dry-country fauna, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, oryx, and reticulated giraffe. All three big cats known as the Masai lion, Tanzanian cheetah, and leopard can also be found here as well as the elephant, Cape buffalo and Hippopotamus, Other mammals frequently seen in the park include olive baboon, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik-dik, impala and waterbuck. There are over 350 species of birds. These include grey-headed kingfishers, sunbirds, bee-eaters, Marabou stork, etc. The Ewaso Ng’iro river contains large numbers of crocodile basks. Game drive till late in the afternoon then drive to your lodge dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Samburu samba lodge.

Day 4: Samburu National Park (B, L, D)

(Samburu to Nairobi 340 Kilometers, Approximately 6 Hours’ drive). Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the Elephants, Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands.
And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cozy camp or lodge.

Day 5: Samburu National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park(B,L,D)

After breakfast, you will head out on your journey with the ultimate destination to see the exclusive white & black rhino at Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you will explore the beautiful nature of The Great Rift Valley formed back more than two million years ago. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, you will check in and enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge. After lunch, you will embark on an exciting game drive through the evening. You will see the spectacular concentration of majestic pink flamingo; which is just one of the many wildlife features in the park. You will return to the lodge later in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/lion hills lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara National Reserve (B, L, D)

You will rise early and take off for a sunrise game drive in the park. You will return later for breakfast, check-out, and then depart; heading to the “Great Jewel” of Africa, Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will make a stop at the native Maasai Town of Narok for your picnic lunch and then drive on to enter Maasai Mara. Once inside the reserve, you will take part in an action-packed game drive on your way to the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Day 7:  Masai Mara National Park Full Game Drive (B, L, D)

This is another day in the famous home of the big five! You will have 2 game drives 0630hrs-1000hrs and 1600hrs to 1830hrs respectively. The Masai Mara National Reserve is regarded as the jewel of Kenya that offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is almost unbelievable that over 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. A visitor may hardly miss seeing lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes, and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures. Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge/Zebra plains camp.

Day 8: The Sirari Border Entry to Tanzania – Serengeti National Park (B, L, D)

The breakfast will be served early and then leave with a game drive en-route with your lunch box as we drive to Sirari border point to cross into Tanzania finish the immigration formalities then change the car to take Tanzanian Jeep to Serengeti national park through Ndabaka Gate in the western corridor of Serengeti. Arrive in the evening game drive dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp. Day 9: Serengeti National Park Full Game Drive (B,L,D)

Early morning game drives with Picnic Lunch till afternoon. Then game drive in the evening in the famous Serengeti National Park. Having a chance to see all big four e.g. Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopard and many other wild animals like Hippos, Zebras, Wildebeests, Cheetahs, Hyenas, Thomson Gazelles just to mention a few. Seronera area is a wild paradise you will be able to see thousands of wild animals and also the Immigration of wildebeests depending on the season, dinner, and overnight at the Serengeti Tortilis Camp. Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (B,L,D)

After breakfast with your Picnic Lunch makes a game drive briefly infamous Serengeti then to Ngorongoro in the afternoon via Olduvai George believe to be the home of the first human being. The skull of Home sapiens was discovered here by Dr. Leakey. This is great history one would live to remember. Maasai Boma Visit inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area experiences their lifestyle, culture, Home, Dance, Hand Craft, etc enjoy till late in the afternoon then drive to your Hotel at the Crater rim. Day 11: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Lake Manyara National Park (B,L,D)

After breakfast then drive to L/Manyara National Park with your Picnic Lunch. This enchanting park is noted for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant figs and mahogany trees, which are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. It is very famous for its stunning bird variety. The park is also home to a large number of buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a Hippo lake, where large numbers of hippos usually gather. This park has become famous for climbing lions and the flamingos in the lakeshore. The game drives are done along the shore of the lake, providing incredible views of animals in the foreground with the lake, flamingos, and flat plains on the horizon. Game drive till late in the afternoon to enjoy the magnificent landscapes formed by the Great Rift Valley structure. Dinner and overnight at Escarpment Luxury Lodge Lake Manyara.

Day 12: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Flight to Zanzibar (B, L, D)

After breakfast game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, having a chance to see many big herds of Elephants, and also other wildlife life Buffalos, Zebras, Wildebeest, Mangoes, lions, and about 500 spices of birds and many more. Then with your lunch pack proceed to Arusha Airport with a game drive en-route. Arrive in time for your flight at 0100pm to Zanzibar arrive at 0215pm, meet and greet then transfer to Stone Town dinner and overnight at Tembo House Hotel (Prime Room).

Day 13: Stone Town Menai Bay Conservation Area Safari Blue Tour (B, L, D)

After breakfast full day trip and includes the use of top-quality snorkeling equipment, ice-cold sodas, mineral water, and beer, a delicious Zanzibari seafood lunch with grilled fish and slipper lobster, gastronomic fruit tasting, coffee, and Amarula liqueur. Safari Blue explores the Menai Bay Conservation Area, which is home to two different species of dolphins, the Indo-pacific humpback and the bottlenose. In the morning you will set down on one of the beautiful sandbanks where one can relax, swim or snorkel. There will be plenty of good quality snorkeling equipment and very experienced snorkeling guides will show you the pristine coral reef, which teems with tropical sea life. Instruction is also available for beginners. After snorkeling cold drinks, fresh coconuts, and local snacks thereafter you will go to Kwale island where you have your “desert island” restaurant. Day 14: Jozani Forest & Spice Tour Full Day – Nungwi Nungwi Beach (B, D)

Breakfast then depart to Jozani Forest it’s one of the last remaining natural rain forests in East Africa. The forest is full of large exotic trees and harbors different species of Monkeys, especially the Red Colobus Monkeys who are indigenous to the Island. It represents a very important refuge for the flora and fauna of the island, you will see also a mangrove forest thereafter depart to the Spice tours. It offers visitors to Zanzibar an opportunity to tour plantations, learn about the history of the island and the cultivation of spice plants, and see many varieties of spices produced here. Your guide will give detailed descriptions of what the various plants are used for.
