Day 1 – Arrival at Colombo

Day 2 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (B)

Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens – one of the finest in Asia, which dates back to the 14th century (Optional)
Journey up through the hills, passing waterfalls (Ramboda Falls), pine and eucalyptus forests, and vast green tea estates. Many optional photos stop en route.
Visit a tea factory, where you will not only enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea but will also have the opportunity to witness the intricacies involved in its manufacturing process.
By late afternoon, reach Nuwara Eliya, the “city above the clouds” at 1980m above sea level. A golf course, racecourse for horse racing, English country-style cottages, and planters bungalows are all witnesses of its colonial past.

Day 5 – Yala to Bentota (B)

Optional early morning Safari at Yala National Park to experience close encounters with a variety of wildlife; elephants, leopards, wild buffalo, spotted deer, etc.

Sightseeing of Galle with old Dutch fort ramparts with lighthouse with a panoramic view natural harbor – one more world heritage site, basking on the southern coast of Sri Lanka in the bay of Galle, the Fort was first built by the Portuguese in 1588 before being extensively fortified by the Dutch in the mid-1600s. Recognized by UNESCO for its cultural heritage value, the Fort has declared a World Heritage Site in 1988 as a unique exposition of “an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.”

Day 7 – Departure from Colombo (B)

Madu Ganga River safari, A boat excursion is the best way to navigate and enjoy what’s on offer at Madu Ganga, a stretch of the lake with almost placid water dotted with many islets. You can visit an island with a Buddhist monastery, where the friendly young monks will show you a 150-year-old book made of palm leaves and how they cook on cinnamon wood on an open fire.
City tour of Colombo commencing with a visit to the Fort and the Pettah commercial hub with offices and shopping areas located amidst the oldest colonial hotel GOH. It has a fantastic view of the Colombo harbor, a lighthouse with a clock tower (older than Big Ben in London) close to the president’s house and old parliament. Afterward, proceed through the main street passing the old Dutch Museum, belfry, and old City Hall which houses puppets of earlier governors of Sri Lanka.
The stops will be made at the Old Dutch hospital with shops and restaurants facing Sri Lanka’s twin tower buildings. Continue to the old racecourse with a maze of buildings with colonial architecture, restaurants, and shopping arcade passing through Colombo City Hall (mini replica of the White House in Washington, DC)
