💎 Why we love it ?
The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resembles the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District.

Trekking Knuckles Mountain
The trekkers’ favorite approach to Knuckles ranges begins on A26 main motorway running east of Kandy to Hunnsgiriya. At Hunnasiriya, B grade road leads to the Corbett’s Gap which opens up magnificent views of Knuckles range. From Corbett’s Gap, the road that leads to the village of Meemure too can be traveled by a vehicle having a good ground clearance.
The trekkers also have options in two more entry roads: from Matale via Rattota and Riverstone; from Wattegama via Panwila.
The rugged peaks of the Knuckles (Dumbara Hills) named by the British for their resemblance to the knuckles of a clenched fist. The steeply shelving mountain terrain reaches 1863 m the summit of the main Knuckles peak itself and included a stand of the rare dwarf cloud forest.
During the trial, you will be trekking through a tea plantation, pine forest, a typical Kandyan village, and rice fields. This is a circular trek that approximately abuts 18 km. Village culture and bird watching are some of the highlights of this trip. You will be transferred to Kandy by 6 pm.
