The Sorrento Peninsula has a unique landscape in the world, where natural beauties alternate, where the man’s work – who leveled even the most impervious areas, transforming them in the famous terraces degrading towards the sea, on which he cultivated orange and lemon trees, olive groves, and vineyards – has been grandiose. This beautiful town is one of the favorite destination holidays all year round Overnight in the charming Sorrento.

Day 3 : Amalfi Coast Panoramic Tour, Pompeii

After breakfast departure to Amalfi coast passing through Praiano, which, in the era of the Maritime Republics, came under the rule of nearby Amalfi. It may be less famous than Amalfi, but Praiano, which hosts a series of important traditional festivals and cultural events each year, is just as beautiful. A procession of attractive little white houses lines the road leading from Praiano to the small towns of Furore and Conca Dei Marini. The town, situated on extremely impervious terrain, is known for its cuisine which uses the local tomatoes, olive oil, potatoes, and mountain herbs to great effect. Just beyond Furore, we come to Conca Dei Marini, a shing village known above all for the Grotta Dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto).

Arrive in the historic town of Amalfi a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The undisputed ruler of the seas in the 12th century, the town’s gradual decline from power has in no way diminished the beauty of its monuments, such as the cathedral: a veritable gothic masterpiece complete with highly decorative façade and impressive height of steps. The immense cathedral doors, made in bronze, were realized in Constantinople in 1065. Whilst wandering through the picturesque lanes of Amalfi, lined with tiny white cottages and shops, it is easy to catch the scent of the “sfusato” lemons which grow in abundance on this stretch of coast and are used to make the area’s highly prized Limoncello liquor.

After the morning panoramic tour on the Amalfi coast, we will go to an agricultural / wine estate in the Vesuvius park, where we will have a lunch preceded by a tasting of locally produced wines and a visit to the farm.

At the end departure to Pompeii. Visit with your private guide the luxurious villas and temples, theater, and forum of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, destroyed in AD 79 by the Vesuvius eruption. In the late afternoon return to Sorrento Overnight in Sorrento.

🏚️ Accommodation: at Hotel Cristina 4* or similar.

Day 4: Sorrento, Capri Island Tour

Breakfast and departure to the small and marvelous worldwide known island of Capri. As you travel south across the Bay of Naples you see before you the unique, dramatic outline of Capri, one of the most elegant and sought-after resorts. For centuries Capri was the playground of Roman Emperors and Patricians, who built villas and undertook great engineering projects on the island. Augustus had a favorite seaside villa here and his successor Tiberius built what is now the best-preserved Roman Villa in Italy, Villa Jovis. Capri became popular with European artists and musicians, writers, and other celebrities from the end of the 19th century, (Debussy, Somerset Maugham, and many more). Today it is still a magnet for jet setters.

Once in Capri the guided tour will start from the upper part: Anacapri. Possibility to visit Villa San Michele, the fabulous villa of Dr. Axel Munthe. Weather permitting, you can stroll through the shops and relax in one of the many outdoor cafes. The tour continues to the city of Capri, with the famous Piazza Umberto I with its elegant shops and famous restaurants. Admire the gardens colored by Augusto overlooking the famous Faraglioni and Marina Piccola. Here you will have some free time before returning with the funicular to the port of Capri and taking the hydrofoil to Sorrento.

Transfer at the Giardini di Cataldo where you will visit a local factory of limoncello and do a tasting. Free return to the Hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.
