4 Days Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive to the viewpoint of the rift valley. Descend to the floor of the rift valley and drive via Narok town to Masai Mara game reserve. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.

🏚️ Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Julias River Camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara

Full day spent in Masai Mara in search of the big five and other plains game including buffalo, wildebeest, impala, Thompson’s gazelles, giraffes, cheetah, jackals, etc. Visit the mara river and witness the wildebeest crossing. All meals and overnight in the camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nakuru

Depart Masai Mara for the lake Nakuru national park to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives around the lake and into the national park. The lake Nakuru host the world’s largest concentration of flamingoes which canopy the edge of this alkaline Rift valley lake. Pelicans and other bird species are abundant and the adjacent national park host lions, Giraffe, Warthog, leopard, etc. There is a Rhino sanctuary and thus Rhino sightings are almost guaranteed.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru  -Nairobi

You will have an early breakfast and depart by 7 am to straight to the park. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 3-hour drive back to Nairobi and drop off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport
