Day 1: Waitomo Glowworm Cave – Aranui Cave – Ruakuri Cave
Discover all that Waitomo has to offer with this super scenic Triple Cave experience, where you’ll discover three of the most breathe taking, magical caves in Waitomo and in New Zealand. There’s so much to do! Above-ground attractions combine with underground attractions to create two Landscapes. See thousands of these tiny creatures as they radiate their unmistakable luminescent light in a subterranean world. The high chambers, magnificent limestone formations, and the pale brown, pink, and white shades of the huge stalactites in the Aranui Cave are truly spectacular. At Ruakuri cave, experience a captivating blend of the most compelling subterranean experiences (including glowworms), it will leave you open-mouthed, awe-struck, and humbled by the sheer majesty of nature.
After a magical and mesmerizing experience at the caves, relax for an overnight stay in Rotorua.
Day 2: Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Skyline Gondola & Luge
Experience a land where myth and legend come to life, where the earth boils, mud heals, and steam disappears into the clouds above. Explore spectacular nature at New Zealand’s most colorful natural volcanic park. and provide a wide range of amazing photo opportunities at unique features including the world-famous Champagne Pool, naturally colored hot and cold springs, bubbling mud, steaming ground, expansive vistas, huge volcanic craters, and sinter terrace formations.
Our second destination to Skyline, a Fun, Family-Friendly Rotorua Activity! Jump on-board one of the eight-seater Gondola cabins and experience spectacular views of Lake Rotorua, the city, and steaming geothermal vistas. Nestle into a Luge cart and zip off with friends or family to discover who has the skills to master the Luge. First up, ride the sweeping bends of the Scenic track through the Redwoods Forest. After a stunning chair-lift ride back to the top, the Intermediate and Advanced tracks await. Once Is Never Enough!

Channeling the geothermal marvels in its backyard, waters from two natural springs are fed into the 28 hot mineral pools at Polynesian Spa. The slightly acidic Priest Spring relieves tired muscles, aches, and pains while the alkaline waters of the Rachel Spring nourish the skin.
After the therapeutic spa, relax at our overnight stay in Rotorua.
Day 3 Hobbiton Movie Set Tour & Return to Auckland
After departing the Lake Rotorua area, your coach will take you across the scenic Mamaku Ranges and through the native Fitzgerald Glade before arriving in the Waikato Region and the rolling hills of the Shire’.
Located 10 minutes away from the bustling Matamata Township the Shires Rest sits among the hills on a private working farm awaiting our arrival. Walk into the real-world landscape of Middle Earth on a walking tour of the Hobbiton™ Movie Set, where you get a behind-the-scenes look at ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit.’ Pause at the Green Dragon™ Inn for a draft of Hobbit™ Southfarthing™, see the remarkable detailing that brought Hobbiton™ to life on screen, and visit the places where key scenes were created. Get lost among the hobbit holes and visit the Green Dragon Inn, the mill, and the Party Tree. Listen to spell-binding tales of how Hobbiton came to be.
After returning to Matamata, re-join the luxury coach to travel through majestic tree-lined town that sits at the heart of New Zealand’s rural heartland to visit Lake Karapiro, a man-made lake on the Waikato River and is renowned as a world-class rowing venue. With a green treat, we return back to Auckland.

Cancellation policy (Day Tours)
In the event, you have purchased a day tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 7 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 2 – 6 days prior to travel date, 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 24 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Cancellation policy (Overnight Tours)
In the event, you have purchased an overnight tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 15 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 10 – 14 days prior to the date of the tour – 25% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 4 – 9 days prior to the date of the tour – 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 72 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Terms & Conditions:
Changes to reservations will incur an amendment fee of 10% of total package price to cover our administration and communication costs. We may also need to pass on any amendment/cancellation fees imposed by our suppliers. All reservations and changes must be made by contacting our reservations department.
You agree to indemnify ExperienceKart Limited against any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred by ExperienceKart Limited, its officers, employees, agents or related companies as a result of any claim by any third party whose claim arises from your use of your ticket or your acts or omissions while travelling on any ExperienceKart Limited tours & services.
