🏁 Tour Itinerary: Angkor Bike & Bite – Cambodia Food Tour

Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap – Evening Food Tour (D)

Upon your arrival in Siem Reap, you will meet your tour leader at the hotel. Then your guide will detail the trip. You will have time to rest and you will then start your food journey of Siem Reap street food tour. The first stop is the local restaurant where you will taste fruits, spring rolls, tofu, and barbecued snails.
You will then go to the night market, where you can try some bugs, fantastic barbecued chicken, whilst enjoying a cold beverage sitting on a mattress alongside the street market.
You will then visit the Samba Siem Reap liqueur house where you will learn how Cambodia liqueur is made and visit the infusion room. There you will be invited to try rice whisky in various flavors. Finally, you will transfer back to your hotel around 9 PM.

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

Day 2: Cycle the Angkor Temples (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, you start biking the morning temple exploration at the most illustrious temple with fewer crowds. First, you will visit Ta Prohm which is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found- overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground. This makes the so-called Tomb Raider Temple, as it was used during the filming of the movie, one of the most picturesque and memorable temples of the Angkor complex.
You will then head out to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, enter the city through the ancient Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with elephants and four giant faces. From here, continue to Bayon Temple, found in the center of the city famed as the enigmatic faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.
You will take a break at lunch and stop at the local restaurant to enjoy tasteful Cambodian dishes.
Lastly, you will bike to the gem of the Angkor complex, Angkor Wat. Following your tour leader, you will be mesmerized by the rich history and symbolism of this unique ancient temple. Afterward, you will return to your hotel.

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

This tour was amazing! I will be highly recommending this tour to anyone I know visiting Siem Reap. Siem Reaper is owned and operated by locals, and each and every person I interacted with from the company goes out of their way to ensure that you have a great experience. The food, sites, and activities were wonderful and tailored to the preferences of the group. Our guide, Sokvuth, was always accommodating and flexible. I definitely think that the bicycle portion of this particular tour is doable for anyone who is reasonably active. The only thing I recommend – If you are someone not used to bike riding, bring one of the those gel seat cushion covers to save your bum. The ride can be quite bumpy!

I can highly recommend this cycling tour to anyone with a reasonable level of bike fitness. I absolutely loved the tour, cycling through small villages, along back roads. It is a great way to experience the countryside and locals alike. The crew is fantastic also, seeing to our every need, keeping us safe and keeping us rolling. Thank you.

I booked this tour thinking that we would do a bit more than other tourists. But in the end it’s a real immersive experience with locals. Each day was blow minding. Biking let’s you feel real sensations of the country. At some points you’ll get used to let your comfort on the side and share unforgettable memories. When I get the chance to go back with friends, I’m a 110% that I would do the same. Thank you so much for this experience Lee, you were the one that gave me goosebumps! And thank you Marco for your patience and smile you were very sweet!

I travelled with my friend to Cambodia was one place where I was apprehensive about, but travelling with Siem Reaper took the worry away. The 4 days trip covers all the highlights of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat temples and we also get to visit smaller places that we would have missed by travelling by bike and of course – FOOD was incredible. We get the authentic experience, instead of just visiting places filled with other tourists. The bike tour gave us the opportunity to visit local places and the hidden off the beaten track. The great thing about the tour was our tour guide (Sokvuth). He was fantastic with his knowledge and passion for Cambodia. Our trip would not have been complete without the expertise, passion and commitment of our guides. He was so helpful, friendly and a lot of fun and he took care of us from the moment we stepped on the tour. He told pretty much everything out for us and made our tour run very smoothly and even teaching us some of the local languages. We definitely loved his enthusiasm, I loved hearing of his personal experiences, he really made our trip whole. So thank you for the great host. Another great thing about this tour was the people you meet on the way, we made lots of great friends that we will see later on in our travels. Although, the Angkor Wat temple was amazing archticture with the rich history and culture. We also get to see the local lives on the floating village of Tonle Sap and learn so much from our guide. Overall experience was stunning and exceeded all our expectations.
