5 Day Luxury Experience – Unlock Uruguay from Punta del Este

Day 1: Welcome to Uruguay

You will be picked up from Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo by your driver. Head straight to Sacromonte Wine Lodge your luxury accommodation located near Pueblo Eden in the Punta del Este countryside, which featured in Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, The Times UK, Wallpaper, and on the cover of TIME magazine. Enjoy a welcome drink at check-in. Each shelter will be allocated its own golf cart. If you arrive early, you will have time to check in and have lunch. The rest of the day will be at your own leisure. Enjoy an epic sunset followed by dinner, which will be served at the shelter with some wine.

Day 2: Full Day Experience at Sacromonte

After breakfast in your shelter, enjoy a full-day experience at Sacromonte. You will have your own golf cart to explore the property. There are many things to do like visiting the chapel at the top of the vineyard or the panoramic lookout, which is a small hike up the hill, then taking a lovely walk through the brook, which is like taking a relaxing walk through a small stream surrounded by trees. Upon returning to your shelter take a dip in the splash pool. Lunch with wines will be served at the top of the hill with breathtaking views. Spend the afternoon at your leisure relaxing. Before sunset, you will have the option to go horse riding through the vineyards. Dinner will then be served at the shelter with some wine.

Day 3: Full Day in Punta del Este with Winery Lunch 

After breakfast enjoys a full-day experience in Punta del Este. First stop will be Casapueblo in Punta Ballena, a building constructed by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró. Visit the museum or enjoy a coffee on the terrace with phenomenal views. The next stop will be in Punta del Este, driving along the Playa Mansa coastline towards the Peninsula and on towards the Port and Lighthouse, then onto the famous hand out of the sand called La Mano, where you can stop to take pictures. You have the option to do some sightseeing on foot or spend time at the beach. Around 13:30 pm, you will make your way to the beach town of La Barra, where we will visit a small winery in the countryside. This will be a great opportunity to taste more Tannat made in small quantities. Enjoy a Gourmet Lunch with wines facing beautiful views of the vineyard. The winery makes their own cheeses, bread, olive oil, jams, cured hams, pasta, dulce de leche (known as caramel), grappa, and wine, so the perfect place to buy some gifts. After lunch and many laughs, you will head over to Pablo Atchugarry’s museum famous for his abstract sculptural art. This is a beautiful space with great energy and lots to see. There is now a scenic park with many sculptures, so great place to take pictures. In the afternoon, the driver will take you back to Sacromonte with many fond memories. Relax at your private pool followed by dinner at the shelter with some wine.

Day 4: Visit Jose Ignacio including a Wine-Paired Lunch at Bodega Garzon

After breakfast, take a special trip to the beach town of Jose Ignacio. Stop at the lighthouse to take a picture, then have free time to explore the town, have a coffee or spend some time at the beach.Travel to the sleepy town of Garzon, where you can stop and take pictures in the main square. Afterward head to Bodega Garzon for a Wine Paired Lunch with beautiful views of the vineyards, which can only be described as being very Tuscan with phenomenal views and landscapes. You will then head back to Sacromonte with many fond memories. Join us for a farewell drink at the top of the hill during sunset. Farewell dinner will be served at the shelter with some wine.
