A visit to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater offers the best wildlife viewing experience for this short period of time and the visit to Lake Eyasi to experience the ways of life of the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers together with the Datoga blacksmiths adds a cultural twist to the whole experience making it all worthwhile.
🏁 Tour Itinerary: Short Safari to Tarangire, Lake Eyasi and Ngorongoro Crater
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park (L, D)
Your game drive in wonderful Tarangire, with its incredible diversity, massive baobab trees, and herds of elephants. you will be picked up at your hotel in Arusha at 0700hrs and transferred to the Tarangire National Park to start off your game viewing experience in this magnificent park which is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population, and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in the country. After your tour around the park, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (B, L, D)
Like nothing else on Earth, the stunning crater of Ngorongoro is a unique home for many, many species of Tanzania’s wildlife. With some luck, you may even see a black rhino here. You will depart the lodge at around 06:00hrs and head to the Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but it is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa. After your morning game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at the Hippo Pool Picnic site before you continue with your afternoon game drive. In the early evening, you will be transferred back to your hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi – Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport (B, L)
Everyone will have their own, favorite cultural experience today. But perhaps your lasting memory will be of the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers. Their lifestyle will make you ponder how uncomplicated – though not easy – life can be. You will depart the lodge at around 5 am and head to Lake Eyasi to go hunting with the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of the last hunter-gatherer societies in the world. After your morning hunt, you will visit the Datoga tribe, skilled craftsmen, and blacksmiths. After your amazing cultural experience, you will be transferred back to Arusha/Airport in the afternoon via curio shops where you can grab some souvenirs to take back home with you.
