Museums in Spetses
Dating back to the 18thcentury, Spetses’ museum is a magnificent symbol of local architecture, housing a flat facade with a carved ground floor patio constructed between 1795 and 1798. On the first floor, you’ll find a collection of relics and antiques displaying the Early Classical period’s history and culture to the beginning of the 20th century. Going inside the site, it soothes visitors’ eyes with large stunning photographs and pictures, including a Venetian map of Spetses from 1580.


The Bouboulina Museum
Τhe Bouboulina Museum was initially opened in 1991 by Laskarina Bouboulina’s family to preserve the heroine’s mansion from imminent collapse. Visitors will soak up at cherish and well-admired hand-carved Florentine ceiling and the prominent Italian and the 18th and 19th centuries’ French furniture. You will also find the old firearms and swords, among which Bouboulina’s own gold plated pistol is displayed.


Bekiri’s Cave
Bekiri’s Cave is one of the most stunning and hard spots to reach on Spetses’ island. Also called the Cave of film-makers and lovers fascinates visitors with its interior beauty. Take a boat ride through a pine forest to reach the Cave situated close to Agioi Anargyri beach on the island’s western side. Visitors need to swim to get into the place since its entrance is too low. The Cave’s interior space will dazzle everyone with its blue-green azure water and a small sandy beach on one side. It’s a lovely place to spend a romantic day and record one of the best breathtaking couple experiences.


Vrellos Beach
Also knows as Paradise, Vrellos is a beautiful sandy and pebble beach located on the western coast of the island and overlooking stunning sceneries surrounded by a dense pine forest. There are two accessible ways to the beach, either by road or taxi boat. Don’t miss out on waking up the island’s highest point, Prophet Ilias, through the trees, delivering you eye-catching views of the entire island.


Xilokeriza Beach
Xilokeriza Beach is located on the south-eastern coast of Spetses, 8 kilometers from Dapia. However, it’s less developed beaches of the island, but it offers visitors sand and pebble, beautiful waters, and a small tavern. It gives a great chance to those who want to enrich their stone collections since the beach is covered with fine shingle in a myriad of hues.
