🏁 Tour Itinerary: Family Trip to Athens, Paros and Naxos

Day 1 – 3: Athens

The best family holidays of your lives are just getting started! Upon your arrival in Athens, you’ll be welcomed by your driver, who will transfer you in comfort to your accommodation. After a quick freshen-up, you will have the opportunity to indulge in an authentic Greek welcome dinner that will fill you and your family’s bellies with traditional delicacies before returning to your hotel to rest.
The next day, you will wake up early, meet up with your family-friendly, archaeologist guide, and set on a Mythology Tour of the Acropolis & Acropolis Museum. Learn all about the history, as well as the myths and legends that surround the sacred rock, and watch your kids get mesmerized by the engaging story-telling. After admiring the Acropolis monuments, walk to the modern Acropolis Museum to further explore the ancient civilization through the exhibits the excavations of the Acropolis brought to light. Optionally, you can also join an afternoon excursion to Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon that includes a stop for swimming or a visit to the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center depending on the season of your visit. Drive across the sun-soaked Athens Riviera before reaching the imposing Cape Sounio, where the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon lie. From there, you will have the chance to experience one of the magical sunsets of your life before heading back to the center of Athens to relax and prepare for the day ahead.
On day 3, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your favorite day trip; Delphi or Peloponnese? If you select Delphi, you will engage on a guided tour that will excite your children across the archeological site that used to serve as the spiritual center of ancient Greece before heading to the picturesque towns of Arachova and Galaxidi for a traditional, luscious Greek meal. Alternatively, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Epidaurus and the famous Epidaurus center, before moving to the romantic city of Nafplio for a walking tour across its scenic streets full of history and culture that will include an ice cream stop as well as a top at the fascinating Koboloi Museum.
(Meal: Welcome Dinner on 1st Day)

Day 4 – 7: Paros

On the 4th day of your adventure, your driver will take you to Athens International Airport to catch your 40-minute flight with plenty of time to spare. Following your arrival, the rest of your day will be free for you to spend as you please.
The next day, you’ll have the chance to embark on a bike and hike tour in Paros. During this 2.5-hour entertaining tour, you will cycle around the highlights of Paros in the company of a trained instructor that will keep you safe and sound.
The 6th day of the trip will also be free for you to relax, rest, or even spend the day at Kolymbithres beach, where you can be transported to by a minivan upon request.
On the 7th day, you and your kids will luxuriate in our lovely Paros and small Cyclades sailing adventure that will allow you to spend your day sunbathing and diving into the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Watch your kids have the time of their lives as you savor local delicacies made by the staff on board. Sail across the islands of Iraklia, Schoinousa or Koufonissia, and Despotiko, before returning to your room for a good night’s sleep. Alternatively, you can opt for a Sailing Trip to Antiparos and get to know its striking coast from up close.

Day 8 – 12: Naxos

On day 8, you will depart from Paros and catch the ferry to Naxos, one of the most family-friendly destinations in Greece, where you will spend the rest of your day free seeing and visiting the destinations of your choice.
On the next morning, you will embark on our family-favorite Naxos highlights tour with olive oil tasting that will give you insight into the rich heritage and food culture of the island. Visit Naxos’ main attractions and taste one of the most nutritious local products it has to offer following your introduction to the olive oil-making process of the island.
Day 10 will also be free to spend according to your preference, however, we highly recommend you engage in a Naxos organic cooking class!
On the penultimate day of your trip, you will enjoy our Naxos castle and Portara walking tour that will show you around the most significant archaeological sites of the island with the help of a local guide.
Day 12 is the final day of your family trip. Catch your flight back to Athens and let this fascinating multi-day trip come to an end leaving a smile on your face and a sweet taste in your mouth!

Our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 kids) had an amazing food tour with Penelope. We learned a huge amount, ate so much, and had tons of leftovers for dinner! Penelope was great with our kids and very adaptable. She is a passionate and interesting guide! Highly recommended.

Maria was a fabulous tour guide. You can tell she is a teacher by the way she makes it fun for the kids. We were there on one of the hottest, most crowded days of the year and we would do it all over again.
