Visiting the 3 “Chom” temples is a popular activity most Thais do in Mae Sariang. The 3 temples are constructed on the top of three high hills encircled Mae Sariang offering an awe-inspiring viewpoint overlooking the town from three different angles. Wat Chom Tong is the first nearest Chom temple to the city center. To escape from the annoying sun, the best visiting time is early in the morning. You can walk up 300 steps to the top or drive up to enjoy the panoramic view of Mae Sariang and its rice fields.
The Wat Chom Kitti Viewpoint
Wat Chom Kitti, situated south of Mae Sariang Town, delivers a great view of rural areas and the landscape of Mae Sariang. Drive along a narrow and steep road to the top of the Chom Kitti hill, welcomed by a white Mon-style pagoda and a stunning 180 view of the town.
