The Mall Road
The Mall Road is among the top popular tourist destinations in Shimla, with multiple clubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and shops. Take a stroll along the Mall Road to delve into the leisure of window shopping and savor your favorite drink. You can visit St. Michael’s Catholic Church, take a horse ride or snap some nice shots in the photogenic place. The sculpture of Lala Lajpat Rai, the nationalist leader, is also located in Mall Road.
Annandale
Annandale is an outdoor playing area established for both residents and tourists coming to Shimla. This impressive and picturesque site is located 3 km from the Ridge used for cricket, polo matches, and golf tournaments. The green life of Annandale is enclosed by deodar trees, cedar trees, and oak trees.
Jakhu Temple
The Jakhu Temple, located on the Jakhoo Hill 2.5 km from the Ridge, was built in honor of Lord Hanuman. It’s believed that the temple was once in Lord Hanuman’s possession, who was of the central figures in the Hindu epic Ramayana. You can feed many playful monkeys at the highest peak in Shimla.
Craignano
Craignano, located near Naldehra 18 km from Shimla, was once the summer resort of the Italian countess of Craignano. This scenic destination is enclosed by pine and beautiful oak trees, offering an impressive garden view. Ramble the park and absorb the beauty of daffodils, asphodels, celandine, and hyacinths. Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas)
Henry Irwin, the British architect, built this grey limestone edifice in Jacobethan style. It was the residence of British Viceroy Lord Dufferin, which is encircled by well-maintained lawns and gardens. The Viceregal Lodge is now the Indian Institute of Advanced Study for higher studies.

Sankat Mochan Temple

The religious figure Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj, influenced by this place’s beauty, constructed the Sankat Mochan Temple in 1950.
