💎 Why we love it ?

A 3-day tour to one of the world’s greatest wildlife-viewing, The Etosha National Park. You will visit different waterholes in the park. You will stay inside the park to enjoy the waterholes in the evening where animals come to drink. A safari tour to one of the greatest wildlife viewing venues – the Etosha National Park. Etosha is Namibia’s premier game reserve and home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds, and reptiles, making it the perfect safari destination. Situated in northern Namibia, it spans an area of 22,270 square kilometers and is largely covered by a salt pan. Abundant wildlife congregates around the waterholes, allowing for superb game viewing opportunities.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: 3 Days Etosha National Park Safari

Day 1: Etosha South – Okaukuejo Resort (L, D)

Your adventure starts as the guide collects you from the hotel between 08:00 and 08:30. We shall depart the city via B1 to the north, embarking on an adventure to the world-famous Etosha National park. We have a long drive today. On our way, we shall stop in Otjiwarongo to fill up with petrol and provisions. We will have lunch along the way, maybe Outjo depending on the time. We reach our destination as we will enter the south side of Etosha through Anderson Gate and arrive in Okaukuejo. After settling our rooms, in the afternoon we shall have time to explore the surroundings and enjoy the swimming pool before a late afternoon game drive. After dinner, a visit to the floodlit waterhole is strongly recommended, as there are good chances to see rhinos and lions come to drink.

🏚️Accommodation: Okaukuejo Resort.

Okaukuejo Resort

Okaukuejo Resort is ideally located 17 km from the southern entrance of the park. Famous for its flood-lit waterhole, where visitors can observe at close quarters a spectacle of wildlife congregating and interacting. The comfortable guest chalets have views overlooking the waterhole. The bush chalets feature double rooms or family chalets. Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, kiosk, and camping facilities.

Day 2: Etosha East – Namutoni Resort (B, L, D)

Today we will spend most of the day game driving. We will visit a number of waterholes and make a stop at the Etosha Pan, the “place of dry water” which is the essence of the park. The Pan is an extensive flat depression of about 5,000 km2. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages, and being able to see large herds of game in this setting makes Etosha a unique experience in Africa. We may stop at Halali middle camp to have lunch before we continue our game drive to Namutoni. We have time to relax at the swimming pool to cool down in Namutoni or at the waterhole before a late afternoon game drive. The game viewing is usually an excellent opportunity for photography with close views of springboks, zebras, impalas, giraffes, gemsboks, and plenty of birds. If we are lucky we may also have some close encounters with elephants and lions. In the evening we may enjoy a glass of wine and experience a fabulous sunset from the tower of the old German fort before dinner.

🏚️Accommodation: Namutoni Resort.

Namutoni Resort

The lodge centers on an old German Fort overlooking the King Nehale waterhole; an elevated decked walkway provides excellent opportunities for enjoying the surrounding scenery, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets.  The Fort has been developed into a hub of activity, offering two restaurants, a relaxation lounge, a bar, a crafts boutique, a curio shop, jewelers, and a bookstore. Accommodation is provided in comfortable double rooms or bush chalets. Camping is also available.

Day 3: End of Itinerary (B, L)

After a morning game drive, with the chance to get some more pictures of Etosha’s wildlife in the soft morning light, we depart Etosha via the Von Lindequist Gate headed back to the city. We will travel on the main road (B1), making a short detour to Lake Otjikoto distinguished by its old-green waters discovered in 1851. Just before reaching Windhoek, we have time to stop in the small town of Okahandja with Namibia’s largest wood–carving market. We are likely to arrive back in the city at around 16:30 and you will be dropped off at your accommodation on our return.

Notes:
All game drives and activities are included.
Pickup and drop of points (Windhoek City ) are included.

We had a fabulous experience with Blue Crane. Our guide was Derek and he was the best. Very knowledgeable on Namibia and the animals in Etosha. His truck was also very good for watching the wildlife. He was very considerate to our needs and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip. Derek even amended our itinerary so we could experience some other sights we had on our list. Strongly recommend Blue Crane!

Cant say enough good about our Etosha Safari and our incredible guide, Sammy. He knew where and when to take us to maximize our odds of seeing wildlife. Both my wife and I as well as the kids are still talking about him! Very knowledgable and someone that we just enjoyed being around. We were able to capture some amazing photos. Thanks Bluecrane!! And thanks again Sammy for bringing us our baby chair that we forgot in your truck after our final drop off.
