How to Get to the Brooklyn Bridge?

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge: Brooklyn Side

The first entrance from Downtown Brooklyn is on Boerum Place and Tillary Street. The stairway under the main road on Washington Street is the second gate leading directly to the Pedestrian Walkway on the Brooklyn Side. Frankly, start your walking in Brooklyn due to the famous NYC skyline and incredible Manhattan views.

The Brooklyn Bridge is not only a suspended bridge; instead, it’s a walking way lane where you’ll be surprised by breathtaking views and mouthwatering meals. The entrance on the Manhattan side is on the northeast corner of City Hall Park along Centre Street, populated with many vendors. Don’t miss out on snagging a pretzel or hot dog. 

To get to the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan side, just take J or Z trains to the Chambers Street subway station or the 4, 5, or 6 trains to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop.

From the Brooklyn side, take trains A or C to the High Street stop, where you’ll see the signs pointing to the pedestrian walkway on this side at the subway exit.
