Itinerary

Atlas Mountains and Berber Villages Day Trip

Your day begins with a pickup directly from your hotel or riad in Marrakech — if your accommodation is inside the medina and vehicles cannot access it, we will arrange a meeting point just a short walk away. Your dedicated local driver and tour companion will take you on a scenic drive into the High Atlas Mountains, just an hour south of Marrakech and a world away from the city.

The landscape changes dramatically as you climb into the mountains — terraced valleys, walnut groves, flowing streams and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. Your companion will guide you through one of the most authentic and unspoiled Berber communities in the region, introducing you to local life, sharing stories of the mountain people and their centuries-old traditions, and walking with you through narrow paths and past ancient stone houses that have barely changed in generations.

You will have time to walk along the valley trails, cross the rivers on traditional stone bridges and soak up some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery in Morocco. A traditional Berber lunch is included at a local village restaurant — simple, delicious and completely authentic.

Your companion will then drive you back to Marrakech, arriving in the early evening, and drop you off directly at your hotel or riad.
