Why we love it?

This private workshop in Marrakech offers an immersive experience into the traditional Moroccan craft of zellige, the intricate geometric mosaic tilework seen in palaces, riads, and mosques throughout the country. Guided by a maalem, a master artisan, you'll learn the full process from hand-cutting individual tiles to assembling them into detailed patterns. The session includes a live demonstration, hands-on practice, and the chance to create your own zellige piece to take home. Traditional Moroccan mint tea is served during the workshop, and all tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided, making this a focused and personal introduction to a centuries-old craft in the heart of Marrakesh.

Inclusions

  • All tools, materials, and safety equipment provided.
  •  Traditional Moroccan mint tea served during the workshop.
  • You'll take home the zellige piece you create.
