Itinerary

Agafay Desert Sunset Dinner and Camel Ride

Your evening begins with a pickup directly from your hotel or riad in Marrakech  if your accommodation is inside the medina and vehicles cannot access it, we will arrange a meeting point just a short walk away. Your dedicated local driver and tour companion will take you on an approximately 45 minute drive through the outskirts of Marrakech and into the stunning Agafay Desert, a dramatic rocky desert plateau just 30 km from the city.

As the sun begins its descent over the desert, your camel ride begins a gentle, guided experience led by our experienced local Berber team as the golden light washes over the landscape around you. The camel trek is suitable for most fitness levels. If you prefer not to ride a camel, a quad  ride is available  your tour companion will be happy to arrange this for you on the day.

As the sky turns to shades of orange and pink, you settle in for a magical sunset dinner in the desert. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal by candlelight with live Berber music setting the mood under a sky full of stars. Your companion will then drive you back to your hotel or riad in Marrakech, arriving in the evening.

  • Pickup is from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. If your accommodation is inside the medina and vehicles cannot access it, a meeting point just a short walk away will be arranged for you.
  • A valid passport or national ID is required for all travelers.
  • The camel ride in the Agafay Desert is a gentle, guided experience suitable for most fitness levels. If you prefer not to ride a camel, a 4x4 desert ride is available locally at an additional cost  your tour companion will be happy to arrange this for you on the day.
  • The desert can feel cool after sunset. A light jacket or warm layer is recommended for the evening.
  • Infant seats are available on request please mention at the time of booking if you are travelling with a young child.
