Tour Plan

Hotel Pick Up
08:00 AM - We start your day by picking you up from the hotel, getting ready for a fun adventure ahead.

Wat Chedi Luang
08:15 AM - First, we'll visit Wat Chedi Luang. There's a huge pagoda there that used to be 100 meters tall, but part of it got damaged in an earthquake in 1545. This temple also used to have the famous Emerald Buddha, but it's now in Bangkok. Wat Chedi Luang is famous for its beautiful Naga staircase at the front of the chapel.

Tha Phae Gate
09:15 AM - Next, we'll stop at Tha Phae Gate, an important spot in Chiang Mai's history. It was built by King Mangrai back in 1296 when the city was founded. These gates, like Phae gate, Chang Puak, Chiang Mai, and Pratu Soan Dok, were the main entrances to the old city, keeping it safe. Tha Phae Gate, made of red bricks, is on the east side of the city.

Wat Pha Lat
10:00 AM - Now, we're heading to a special place called Wat Pha Lat. It's like a hidden treasure because it's a temple tucked away in the jungle. People love it for its peaceful vibe, perfect for meditation.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
10:45 AM - Get ready to see one of the most sacred places, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, also known as Doi Suthep temple. It's up on a mountain and gives you amazing views of Chiang Mai. It was built in 1383 when King Keu Naone was in charge, and it has a fascinating story behind its creation that makes it even more special.

Hotel Arrival
12.00 PM - Let's head back to the hotel now.

The moment I stepped into the vehicle, I felt the excitement of the day’s adventures ahead. Visiting the impressive structures, especially the serene chedi and the lush surroundings of the pha, was absolutely captivating, offering a perfect mix of history and spirituality. The only downside was the brief wait at one site, but it gave me time to soak in the atmosphere, making it a worthwhile solo excursion.

Navigating the winding roads to the stunning chedis was a highlight, but the cramped van made it a bit uncomfortable for our group.

Exploring Wat Doi Suthep was a highlight for us, with its stunning views and intricate details that truly captured the essence of Chiang Mai. We did encounter a bit of a crowd at Chedi Luang, which made it hard to fully appreciate the peace of the temple, but overall the experience was memorable and enriching.
