7 Days Uganda Safari Tour – Wildlife & Primates Adventure

Day 1: Arrival at The Airport & Transfer to The Hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the company staff that will transfer you to your hotel/lodge in Entebbe town for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park located in the Western Uganda-Kasese district. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of the scenery and the entire countryside.
The drive time from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park is about 5 hours and on arrival, you will relax for a few hours.
In the evening, you will enjoy a community walk around the areas that are within the environs of the lodge. With the community walks, you will enjoy social interactions with the local population.

Day 3: Exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning, you will conduct a game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will see various animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, and Antelopes. Lions are elusive cats and chances of sighting them during the normal game drives are limited. To enhance the chances of sighting them, you will track lions during the game drive in Kasenyi plains.
Exploration of the park will be supplemented with an evening boat ride along the spectacular Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward to Lake George.  The boat ride along the banks will give you an opportunity to see yawning hippos, herds of Uganda kob with their black and white spiraled horns, Nile crocodiles sunbathing, as well as elephants immersing themselves beneath the water while poking their trunks up and splashing water to their bodies to cool off.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park for the highlight of this safari which is gorilla tracking. Bwindi is home to almost half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world and your encounter with these gigantic will certainly give you lasting memories about your safari. On arrival at the lodge, you will check-in and relax in preparation for the next day’s activities.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Early morning, you will go gorilla trekking. This amazing activity takes you through the densely forested steep hills until you finally meet these tranquil gorillas within the green plant cover. It is such a wonderful yet memorable encounter. The canopy will envelop you completely with rare and exotic flora found on every side. This is a challenging trek since it involves hiking through steep ascents and tangled trails.
Once gorillas are identified, you will be allowed a maximum time of one hour within their vicinity and then after walk out of the dense forest. Your time with the gorillas will certainly create a long-lasting memory of your visit to Uganda

Day 6: Travel to Entebbe For Departure Flight

After your awesome time in Western Uganda, you will embark on your return road trip to Kampala. This time we traverse the rolling hills and mountains of the Kigezi and Ankole region.
You will make a brief stop at the equator crossing, take the best photo shots and engage in some of the activities and experiments that people normally engage in when they reach the equator. The experiments engaged in are not scientifically tested/proved but fun to watch. These experiments involve pouring water in the basin while observing how it swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres of the equator line.

Day 7: Transfer to The Airport for Departure Flight

On the last day of your Ugandan tour, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
