💎 Why we love it ?

You are about to explore the Himalayan region deeper into the mountain amphitheater while you go for Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The Annapurna range is almost in the middle of the long Himalayan range in Nepal. This walking trip to the mountains takes you to explore and exploit the beauty of the region where the eighth highest mountain in the world stands. Mt. Annapurna I rises an impressive 8,091 meters above sea level. You will eventually stand right below the mountain while you are on the trip. It is not only the magnificence of the base camp that you will love but also the entire walk. As you traverse the trail through peaceful natural landscapes, you will ultimately fall in love with what you see. Initially, you trek along the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking trail and, later, enter the mountain valley towards the destination.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival

The first day of your adventure trip to the Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.

Day 2 – Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu (B)

We will take an acclimatization day in Kathmandu today where we spend time exploring the cultural heritage sites in the valley. The sightseeing tour that starts after breakfast takes you to four of the amazing cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley.
Exploring Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath will give you an incredible experience of ancient, medieval, and modern cultural, historical, and spiritual wonders. You will see and experience the lifestyle in Kathmandu during the tour. The tour will take pretty much of our day, today. We will return back to the hotel later in the afternoon.
We will do the last-minute preparation and packing for the trekking adventure to start tomorrow.

Day 3 – Kathmandu – Pokhara (B)

We will drive to Pokhara today. It is a long day’s drive to the beautiful lake city that is 200 kilometers to the west of Kathmandu. About six hours of the drive along the highway takes us through beautiful villages, towns, rivers, and other wonderful surroundings. We will reach Pokhara in the afternoon that leaves us enough time to go for a stroll around the Lakeside and enjoy the beauty of Fewa Lake. Pokhara offers a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the mountains from the city itself. Exploring around and soaking in the beauty of Pokhara, we will spend quite leisurely time preparing for the trek to start tomorrow.

Day 4 – Pokhara – Ulleri (2,010m) – (B, L, D)

The trekking part of our adventure trip starts today. But before we start the walk, we still need to drive for around one and a half hours to Nayapul. It is an easy day of the walk, except for the final uphill walk to Ulleri village for an overnight stay. We will walk for around six hours today before reaching the destination. The day basically feels nicer and easier as we traverse through a dirt road in most of the sections today. Ulleri offers a nice view of the surroundings that will make our stay there enjoyable.

Day 5 – Ulleri – Ghorepani (2,875m) – (B, L, D)

The second day of the walk takes us to the amazing Ghorepani village that offers us some breathtaking views of the Himalayas. About five hours of uphill yet pleasant walk through the lush forest takes us to the destination. We will get to enjoy the pleasure of walking through beautiful nature.
When we reach Ghorepani, it will feel like we have come to a different space as it offers us a view of enigmatic mountains. The mountains in the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of the Himalayas stand tall right in front of us. We stay overnight at Ghorepani today.

Day 6 – Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3,210m) – Tadapani (2,670m) – (B, L, D)

We wake up pretty early in the morning today to start our hike towards the famous Poon Hill. The viewpoint offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan range and a beautiful sunrise over those massive peaks. After enjoying the sunrise and the view of the mountains, we descend to Ghorepani and continue the trek to Tadapani after breakfast. The walk to Tadapani will take us about five hours that goes through beautiful natural surroundings.  We stay overnight at Tadapani today.

Day 7 – Tadapani – Chhomrong (2,140m) – (B, L, D)

Our trekking adventure continues towards the Annapurna sanctuary. We make the beautiful Gurung village of Chhomrong our destination for the day. It will take us about five hours to reach the village. A steep descent in the beginning and later an uphill trek takes us eventually to Chhomrong. We can explore the beauty of the village and its surroundings once we reach there to stay overnight.

Day 8 – Chhomrong – Bamboo (2,335m) – (B, L, D)

We continue our walk to Bamboo today along a beautiful river valley. The river, Modi Khola, flows through the winding course along the mountains and we trek upstream the valley. It is a day of beautiful nature walk in the mountains. The walk to Bamboo today offers us peaceful surroundings that the trail passes through. We can also enjoy the view of the mountains.

Day 9 – Bamboo – Deurali (3,230m) – (B, L, D)

Another day of walk in the mountains takes us deeper and higher into the Himalayan sanctuary. The walk today will take us to Deurali in the magnificent gorge formed by the massive mountains. As the sanctuary narrows higher towards the base camp, we can feel the presence of the mountains right next to us. We enjoy the magnificence of our surroundings as we trek along towards the destination today.

Day 10 – Deurali – Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) – (B, L, D)

Eventually, the day to trek to Annapurna Base Camp has arrived. Our destination for the day is the ultimate destination of this trip – Annapurna base camp also famous as ABC. We trek towards the impressive base camp hidden deeper into the mountain valley. The surrounding mountains offer an incredibly beautiful view that makes our walk more pleasant.
We will have enough time to admire the beauty of the surroundings. Staying overnight in the magnificent surroundings of the Annapurna base camp is certainly a wonderful moment.

Day 11 – ABC – Dovan (2,505m) – (B, L, D)

After enjoying the wonderful base camp of the Annapurna, we get ready to start our journey back down. We will trek to Dovan to stay overnight.

Day 12 – Dovan – Jhinu (1,710m) – (B, L, D)

Our trek for the day takes us to Jhinu Danda. Walking past Chhomrong village, we descend to Jhinu where we will go for a natural hot spring bath. The hot spring bath will be a soothing treat for our tired bodies. A refreshing natural spring bath on the bank of Modi Khola is certainly a worthy highlight of the trip.

Day 13 – Jhinu – Nayapul – Pokhara (B, L)

We trek back to Nayapul and bring the walking adventure to an end. The trek to the Annapurna base camp has given us so many wonderful moments that we can treasure for life. Later, we drive back to Pokhara and stay overnight.

Day 14 – Free Day in Pokhara (B)

Enjoy a relaxing and free day in Pokhara after the big walking adventure to the Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 15 – Pokhara – Kathmandu (B)

We will drive back to Kathmandu today along the same highway that we took earlier to go to Pokhara. There is also an option of flying back with the payment of the extra cost for the flight. Back in Kathmandu, we will take and enjoy leisurely time around.

Day 16 – Departure Day (B)

The 16 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking to the Annapurna region. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.

We met Parkash in Thamel and he helped us decide on the trek that best suited us, which ended up being Annapurna Base Camp. Because Parkash set everything up so perfectly we were able to thoroughly enjoy our trip and not have to worry about the little details. His communication and availability throughout our trip was very appreciated! We look forward to booking another trek with this company in the future 🙂
