💎 Why we love it ?

Everest Base Camp Trek has everything that any adventure lover would go for. The EBC trekking offers a picturesque view of the Himalayas with the dense forests covered by a blanket of Red Rhododendrons. The Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Lukla, after taking a flight from Kathmandu. The trail from Lukla extends to Phakding along the Dudh Koshi river valley and then to Namche Bazaar. On the way ahead, a breathtaking view of Everest flashes a smile at you from the premises of the Tengboche monastery. On walking downwards to the village of Pangboche and upwards to Dingboche, one can get acquainted with the local culture and traditions of the Sherpa people. Then on following the Khumbu glacier, we will reach Lobuche from where we can enjoy the view of many peaks such as Ama Dablam, Taweche, etc. The next destination will be Gorakhsep from where we can move towards the Everest Base Camp – the ultimate destination on the trip.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival

The first day of your adventure trip to the Everest Base Camp starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.

Day 2 – Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu (B)

We will take an acclimatization day in Kathmandu today where we spend time exploring the cultural heritage sites in the valley. The sightseeing tour that starts after breakfast takes you to four of the amazing cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley.
Exploring Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath will give you an incredible experience of ancient, medieval, and modern cultural, historical, and spiritual wonders. You will see and experience the lifestyle in Kathmandu during the tour. The tour will take pretty much of our day, today. We will return back to the hotel later in the afternoon.
We will do the last minute preparation and packing for the trekking adventure to start tomorrow.

Day 3 – Kathmandu – Lukla (2,860m) – Phakding (2,660m) – (B, L, D)

We have an early morning flight to Lukla today. So, we drive to the airport for the exciting Himalayan flight to the gateway to the Everest region. A wonderful flight on a small airplane takes us to the beautiful town of Lukla with the views of stunning mountains.
After landing at Lukla, we meet our whole trekking crew and get ready to walk for the day. It is an easy start of the walk of the adventure trek to the Everest Base Camp. We are going to trek to Phakding village on the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Around four hours of trek introduces us to the trail, surroundings, nature, and the views of mountains in the Everest region. The atmosphere of our overnight site, Phakding, feels amazing on the bank of the gushing river.

Day 4 – Phakding – Namche (3,440m) – (B, L, D)

The second day of the walk today takes us to the beautiful and famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazar at an elevation of 3,440 meters above sea level. Almost all uphill walk for the day takes us past beautiful natural surroundings of nature and the view of mountains. As we enter the Sagarmatha National Park today, we will also walk over several suspension bridges over the gushing river.
Finally, we reach Namche Bazar after the walk of around six hours. The view of the mountains and the wonderful surroundings of Namche helps us relax and settle. We take it easy to acclimatize well to the changing climatic situation and elevation.

Day 5 – Acclimatization Day (B, L, D)

We have an extra day stopover at Namche today that will help us acclimatize well before we head further higher. Namche has beautiful places in the surroundings where we can go for day hiking and exploration instead of staying idle at the lodge and bazaar. The hiking exploration for the day will also help us get better acclimatized and we become ready to trek to the higher elevation.

Day 6 – Namche – Tengboche (3,860m) – (B, L, D)

As we are getting used to the thinning air of the higher elevation, we prepare to trek to the next place. Our walk for the day in the region takes us to Tengboche village that is famous for its beautiful monastery and the view of mountains like Ama Dablam it provides. Around seven hours of the walk takes us up and down the mountains and through stream and nature with a view to the destination.
Once we reach Tengboche, we will have time to explore the monastery and surroundings after settling into the lodge.

Day 7 – Tengboche – Dingboche (4,410m) – (B, L, D)

We continue further higher on our trek. The trek today takes us to Dingboche via Pangboche village. When we reach the overnight destination today, we will already be at an elevation of 4,410 meters above sea level. Another beautiful day of trekking through the cultural village and natural surroundings has so many beautiful things to offer. From lush nature to changing the landscape to the wonderful culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people living in the region is simply awesome.

Day 8 – Acclimatization Day (B, L, D)

It is time to take another acclimatization day before we trek further higher towards the base camp of the highest mountain in the world. We again go, like at Namche, for hiking exploration to the surrounding destinations. The exploration today will bring us spectacular views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes. We will spend half of our day hiking and the latter half exploring and relaxing at Dingboche.

Day 9 – Dingboche – Lobuche (4,910m) – (B, L, D)

Time to trek to another destination! We walk through the glacial path on the famous Khumbu glacier today towards Lobuche as our destination for the day. The landscape changes drastically and the wilderness grows to a more peaceful and magnificent one. We will walk through the trail that’s filled with huge boulders and moraine. We will certainly feel the oxygen level going thinner and thinner as we trek further higher. Slowly but ultimately, we will make it to Lobuche to stay overnight. The beautiful surroundings of Lobuche help us feel better after we check into the guest house.

Day 10 – Lobuche – Gorakshep (5,164m) – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – (B, L, D)

Finally, the most exciting day of the trip has arrived. We are going to be at the base camp of Mt. Everest and enjoy the blissful moments there. But before that, we surely need to walk for the day. We will trek towards Gorakshep that is our overnight site for the day and check into a lodge before heading to the base camp. The walk to the Everest base camp starts after relishing our lunch at the highest overnight site for the trip.
Eventually the famous Everest Base Camp is right there where we will stand. We enjoy the overwhelmingly magnificent surroundings of the base camp and spend some beautiful moments there. Later, we need to trek back to Gorakshep to stay overnight. The day has brought us to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world.

Day 11 – Gorakshep – Kalapatthar (5,545m) – Pheriche (4,371m) – (B, L, D)

Although every day of the adventure trek to the Everest base camp is exciting, we are due another incredibly exciting moment of the trip. The early morning hiking trip to the Kalapatthar viewpoint is what we are looking forward to early in the morning. Our early morning effort to hike to the highest elevation of the trek is worth going for. The panoramic view of Mt. Everest and other mountains in the surroundings is simply breathtaking. We will also get to enjoy a joyous sunrise experience over the mountains.
Later, we hike back down to Gorakshep and trek further down to Pheriche. Pheriche is a famous overnight stop for trekkers. We will enjoy the beautiful surroundings once we check into a lodge.

Day 12 – Pheriche – Namche (3,440m) – (B, L, D)

Our walking journey in the Everest region continues back towards Namche Bazar today. The peaceful natural surroundings and decreasing elevation make us feel better and easier

Day 13 – Namche – Lukla (2,860m) – (B, L, D)

This is the last day of the trek and we traverse the trail all the way to Lukla from Namche. Once we reach Lukla and check into the lodge, we will take an easy time to explore and wander around the place. It has been an amazing adventure to the Everest base camp and thanks to the whole team who made the adventure safe and an awesome experience. We befriended people, mountains, nature, and breathtaking surroundings that have left an incredible impression and experience.

Day 14 – Lukla – Kathmandu (B)

We take a flight back to Kathmandu and enjoy our afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 15 – Free Day in Kathmandu (B)

An extra day in Kathmandu as a contingency to compensate for any possible flight delay or cancellation.

Day 16 – Departure Day (B)

The 16 Days Everest Base Camp Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world.
We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.

I went to Nepal not knowing what to do and what to expect. Mr. Prakash of Adventure Himalaya Circuit Treks and tours helped me figure out how to appreciate my Nepal visit to the fullest. I initially booked a mountain flight with him and it went smoothly without any problems. When I finally decided that I actually wanna be in the mountains and see Everest upclose, Mr. Prakash gave me a packaged price for an EBC trek that is very reasonable. No other tour operator could match the price, but with it also came quality. I was fortunately paired with a very great guide Dorchi Sherpa who actually caters to what you needed. Everthing went very smoothly and without any problem from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this Tour Operator and Mr. Prakash to anyone without hesitation. You can be assured that you’re getting the best price and package without any compromise on the service received.
