Itinerary

Step 1

A large plaza with restaurants and a concentration of students from the university's fine arts center,
known as Convento Santa Clara or Hotel Sofitel Santa Cruz, is named after the surrounding
neighborhood.

Step 2

The city's core is the Walled City of Cartagena. The year 1984 saw UNESCO designating it
as a World Heritage Site. Among its many attractions are colonial buildings, churches, museums, plazas
like Arafat and the Athens Zoo, and various restaurants and bars. The vibrant atmosphere, colorful
architecture, and rich history of Cartagena make it a great place to visit.

In the center of Cartagena

there is a green area designated as Parque Centenario, which serves
as secluded and leisurely areas. It was built in 1911 to celebrate Colombia's independence centennial.
Along with a variety of trees and plants, the area is home to sloths, monkeys
or iguanas as well. Several sights, including the old city, are within walking distance.

Step 4

One of Cartagena's oldest and most authentic neighborhoods is Getsemani. With a long-standing history of fighting
against Spanish colonialism, it has gained independence. This location offers visitors a chance to experience
vibrant street art, lively nightlife, regional traditions, and culinary delights. Additionally, you can connect with
the amiable locals and experience the authentic Cartagena lifestyle.
