  • On the Blue Lagoon tour, the additional activities in the tourist recreation, the Canopy, Kayak and Jet Ski are not included.

Itinerary

Day 1 #1 - Lamas City
  • On the first day we picked him up at 3pm to head to the folklore capital of San Martín, Lamas. 

    • In the city, we will visit its main square where we will learn part of its history. 
    • Later, we will go to the indigenous museum (additional 6 soles) where we will learn about part of the customs and traditions of the Waykus, the native community of the city. If you do not want to enter the museum, alternatively you can wait at the famous Violeta creamery where you will taste their tasty ice cream specialties with natural fruits. 
    • At the end we will go to see the popular Lamas castle, we will take a tour of its interior and we will discover some details that explain the reason for this unique construction. 
    • Finally, we will visit the Wayku neighborhood and its indigenous community. There we can learn about their ancestral culture and acquire some of their traditional crafts at the market in the neighborhood square. 
    • Then around 6pm we will return to Tarapoto and drop you off at your hotel. End of the tour to Lamas.
Day 2 #2 - Azul Lagoon
    • The second we will pick you up from your hotel around 8:30am  to go to the town of Willow, where the Blue Lagoon is located. 
    • During the 2-hour journey we will make 2 stops: the first to cross the Huallaga River on a captive raft where we will transport the car; The second is at the Punta del gallinazo viewpoint, a high place from where you can see the entire green riverside of the Huallaga. 
    • Once we arrive at Sauce, we will go to its port and take a boat to navigate the Lagoon for approximately one hour. 
    • Afterwards we will dock the boat at the recess el caño. There they will have the opportunity to bathe in the lagoon, take a short horseback ride around the lagoon and practice additional activities (not included in the price) such as kayaking, canopy and jet ski. 
    • When we finish, we will go to have lunch on the shores of the lagoon with a tourist menu where you can choose from various Amazonian cuisine dishes. 
    • Then around 4p.m. We will begin the return to Tarapoto and around 06:00 p.m. We will be dropping you off at your hotel. End of the tour to Laguna Azul.

Day 3 #3 - Alta Mayo
    • The third day includes the longest tour of the package. 
    • We picked you up around 7:30 in the morning.
    • On this tour we visit the Rioja area in the morning and the Moyobamba area in the afternoon. 
    • In Rioja we will go, first of all, to see the source of the Tioyacu River. 
    • There we can take a bath and walk through the green areas of the complex. 
    • The second stop will be at the farm, a tourist recreation where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. 
    • After that, we will go to lunch with a tourist menu that includes various regional food specialties and in the afternoon we will go to Moyobamba to visit the city's orchid garden. There a specialized guide will explain some of the particularities of these beautiful plants and if you wish you can buy some. 
    • Finally, after that, we will head back, arriving in Tarapoto around 07:30 at night, leaving you at your hotel. End of the Alto Mayo tour.

Day 4 #4 - Ahuashiyacu Waterfall
    • On the farewell day, we will pick you up at your hotel starting at 10pm to go to the Ahuashiyacu waterfall. 
    • Before arriving, we will make a stop at the Ahuashiyacu viewpoint from where you can enjoy the mountainous and green views of the Escalera mountain range and take some photos. 
    • Later, once we arrive at the reserve where the waterfall is located, we will take a guided walk through the interior of the reserve along an authorized path that lasts around 15 minutes. 
    • At the end we will have arrived at the Ahuashiyacu waterfall where you can bathe if you wish and take some photos. 
    • Afterwards, we will head back to Tarapoto, dropping you back at your hotel around 01:00 p.m.
