Welcome and reception at the airport or bus terminal. Depending on when you arrive, you may first be transferred to our local office to wait for the rest of the group to arrive before taking the boat transfer. Around noon, you'll transfer to the boat wharf, Port Captain, to begin the 1-hour boat ride to your Eco-Lodge.
Arrive at your Eco-Lodge and settle into your private bungalow. Rest before meeting with your guide followed by an introduction walk around the lodge and its trails. Return to your bungalow, then opt for another guided walk before your first dinner in the rain forest.
Eco-Lodge Accommodation at the Amazon Jungle Lodge
Breakfast is served between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., then begin your adventure walking the trails. Arrive at the first platforms located 50 feet to 85 feet (15 and 25 meters) high, accessed by a suspension bridge.
Continue into the Taricaya Reserve towards the Canopy platform, the highest tree platform in the Amazon rain forest. Located 147 feet (45 meters) high up in the crown of an ancient Kapok tree and connected by a 295-foot (90-meter) suspension bridge.
Continue into the reserve to reach the animal rescue center where you will encounter many different wild animals. Stop at the butterfly house before returning to the lodge for lunch. Rest after lunch before venturing off on the 25-min walk to the Agroforestry farm, then visit the Taricaya turtle project and its artificial beaches. Return to the lodge in your own inflatable boat, after which you will finish the day’s activities with a caiman search along the rivers edge in a motorboat under moonlight. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Have an early breakfast before traveling by boat upriver for 45-min to the entrance of the Tambopata National Reserve. Begin the trek to Lake Sandoval, where you can paddle in a rowboat around the lake, stopping for a snack. Finish with a walk back to the river where you board the motorboat and return to the lodge. Have lunch and rest. Navigate the Madre de Dios River in your own inflatable boat. End the day with a farewell dinner.

Puerto Maldonado Departure
Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before your 8 a.m. departure and a scenic return boat trip on the Madre de Dios River back to Puerto Maldonado by 9:30 a.m. Depending on your return flight/bus, you can be taken directly to the airport/bus station or dropped off at the office where you can rest, refresh yourself and use the WiFi If time permits, you have the option of visiting the Puerto Maldonado city center on your own. In time for your flight or bus departure, return to the office to catch your transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
