Itinerary
ITINERARY
- At the beginning of the tour we will pick you up starting at 3pm to go to the folklore capital of San Martín, Lamas.
- In the city, we will visit its main square where we will learn part of its history.
- Later, we will go to the indigenous museum where we will learn about part of the customs and traditions of the Waykus, the native community of the city.
- At the end we will go to see the popular Lamas castle, picturesque medieval castle of Lamas, a unique place in the entire Amazon as it is built and decorated like a medieval European fortress. We will take a tour of its interior and we will discover some details that explain the reason for this unique construction.
- Finally, we will visit the Wayku neighborhood and its indigenous community. There we can discover their ancestral culture and acquire some of their traditional crafts in the market in the neighborhood square.
- Then around 6:30 we will return to Tarapoto and drop you off at your hotel.
