Day 1

What to expect: After registration at Londorossi Gate, you will drive to the Lemosho trailhead. The trek begins in a lush rainforest where you might spot Black and White Colobus monkeys and exotic birds. The trail is often misty and atmospheric as you head to the first camp.

Day 2

Elevation: 2,650m to 3,500m
Hiking Time: 5-6 hours
What to expect: The path leaves the forest and climbs into the heather and moorland zone. Guests will cross several streams and walk along a ridge that leads onto the Shira Plateau. From here, they will see the first magnificent views of Kibo Peak across the valley.

Day 3

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
What to expect: A gentle trek across the high-altitude Shira Plateau. Guests will visit the "Shira Cathedral," a massive rock buttress surrounded by steep spires. The open landscape offers panoramic views of Mt. Meru and the Great Rift Valley in the distance.

Day 4

Elevation: 3,850m to 4,600m (Lava Tower) then down to 3,950m
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours
What to expect: This is a vital day for acclimatization. Guests will climb up to the volcanic Lava Tower for lunch in a rocky, alpine desert. Afterward, they descend into the Barranco Valley, walking through the "Garden of Senecios," filled with unique, giant prehistoric plants.

Day 5

Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
What to expect: The day starts with a scramble up the "Great Barranco Wall." While it looks intimidating, it is a safe and fun climb that offers the best views of the glaciers. The trek continues through valleys and ridges until reaching Karanga Camp, located on a ridge with a view of the town of Moshi below at night.

Day 6

Elevation: 3,995m to 4,673m
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
What to expect: The trail turns uphill toward the base camp. The landscape becomes very dry and rocky. Guests will have a clear view of both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. At camp, they will have an early dinner and prepare their warm gear for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 7

Elevation: 4,673m to 5,895m (Summit) then down to 3,100m
Hiking Time: 10-13 hours
What to expect: Starting around midnight, guests trek by headlamp over heavy scree toward Stella Point. They will reach the summit, Uhuru Peak, just as the sun rises over the clouds. After taking photos at the highest point in Africa, they descend back to the forest zone to Mweka Camp.

Day 8

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
What to expect: A final, easy walk down through the rainforest. The air becomes warmer and more humid as guests reach Mweka Gate. Here, they will receive their official gold or green certificates to celebrate their successful climb before driving back to Moshi.

- Pickup is available from hotels in Moshi and Arusha. Your guide will confirm pickup time via WhatsApp one day before departure. Please be ready at least 10 minutes before pickup time.
- This is a challenging high-altitude trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. Proper fitness, preparation, and acclimatization are required for a safe and successful climb.
