Itinerary

Day 1

Delhi Arrival

  • Arrival: Land at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Your private driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel to unpack and refresh.

    Late Afternoon: Ease into the trip with a visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a beautiful, serene Sikh temple featuring a massive holy pool. Experience the community kitchen (Langar) that feeds thousands daily.

    Evening: Take a driving tour past the illuminated imperial structures of New Delhi, including India Gate and the President’s House.

Day 2

Delhi Full Day Sightseeing

  • Morning: Dive into Old Delhi. Visit the vast courtyard of Jama Masjid, then hop on a classic cycle-rickshaw through the lively, aromatic chaos of Chandni Chowk and its historic spice markets.

    Afternoon: Transition to the beautifully manicured Persian-style gardens of Humayun’s Tomb (the architectural blueprint for the Taj Mahal). Afterward, head south to stand beneath the towering, 12th-century brick minaret of Qutub Minar.

    Evening: Enjoy a relaxed dinner at Connaught Place or a upscale heritage restaurant.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra

  • Morning: Take a smooth, 3.5-hour morning drive down the Yamuna Expressway to Agra. Check into your hotel.

    Afternoon: Explore the massive, red sandstone ramparts of the Agra Fort. Walk through its grand palaces and look across the river to where Emperor Shah Jahan spent his final days imprisoned.

    Sunset: Head to Mehtab Bagh (The Moonlight Garden) located across the Yamuna River to watch the setting sun turn the white marble of the Taj Mahal into shades of soft gold.

Day 4

Agra to Orchha

  • Sunrise: Step through the gates of the Taj Mahal at dawn. The morning mist and soft lighting are perfect for photography and beating the midday crowds. (Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Return to the hotel for breakfast.

    Mid-Day: Board a high-speed, air-conditioned express train (like the Gatimaan Express) from Agra to Jhansi (approx. 2.5 hours).

    Late Afternoon: Arrive at Jhansi, where your driver will pick you up for a quick 30-minute drive into the peaceful, medieval riverside town of Orchha.

    Evening: Walk through the quiet town and witness the evening prayer ceremony (Aarti) at the vibrant Ram Raja Temple, where Lord Rama is uniquely worshipped as a king.

Day 5

Orchha to Khajuraho

  • Morning: Explore the magnificent Orchha Fort Complex. Marvel at the multi-layered architecture of Jehangir Mahal and Raja Mahal, featuring beautifully preserved Bundela wall paintings. Before leaving, visit the striking chhatris (royal cenotaphs) lining the Betwa River.

    Afternoon: Take a scenic 3.5-hour drive (approx. 170 km) through the scenic countryside of Madhya Pradesh to reach Khajuraho. Check into your hotel and unwind.

    Evening: Attend the immersive local Sound & Light Show at the temple complex, which beautifully narrates the history of the Chandela Dynasty.

Day 6

Khajuraho Explore

  • Morning: Spend your morning exploring the world-famous Western Group of Temples (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Accompanied by a guide, marvel at the jaw-droppingly intricate carvings, celestial nymphs, and iconic erotic sculptures on temples like Kandariya Mahadeva and Lakshmana.

    Afternoon: Arrive in Varanasi—the world's oldest living city. Check into your hotel and absorb the spiritual, high-energy atmosphere.

    Sunset: Head down to the sacred Ganges River. Board a private wooden boat to watch the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat from the water, listening to rhythmic chants as hundreds of oil lamps light up the night.

Day 8

Varanasi Explore

  • Sunrise: Experience a serene dawn boat ride on the Ganges. Watch the riverbanks come alive as pilgrims perform their morning prayers and rituals in the golden morning light. Afterward, take a guided walking tour through the labyrinth of ancient, narrow alleys behind the ghats.

    Afternoon: Drive 10 km outside the city to Sarnath, the peaceful deer park where Lord Buddha gave his very first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Tour the ancient Dhamek Stupa and the exceptional archaeological museum.

    Evening: Spend your final evening strolling the ghats or shopping for world-renowned Banarasi silk sarees and brocades.

Day 9

Varanasi to Delhi Drop

  • Day 9: Varanasi to Delhi & Departure Morning: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast by the river and finish any last-minute souvenir hunting.

    Afternoon: Transfer to Varanasi airport for a short (1.5-hour) domestic flight back to Delhi, perfectly timed to connect with your international flight home.
