Adams Peak
Adams Peak, located 2243 m high from the city, is a sacred mountain in Catholics, Islam, Hindus, and Buddhists religions. Buddhists named it Sri Pada or the holy footprint. In Buddhism, it’s the Lord Shiva’s footprint, while, in Islam, it’s a place where Adam had put his foot after coming to Land from heaven. According to Catholic beliefs, St. Thomas lived at the peak.
