Have a tasty breakfast at the hotel. Explore Peru’s vibrant cuisine by starting your day with a visit to a local market, where you’ll discover the diversity of ingredients we offer. Next, head to a renowned restaurant to participate in a cocktail class, where you learn to make Pisco Sour, Peru’s national drink. Following that, you’ll enjoy a cooking class preparing traditional Peruvian dishes. At the end of the class, taste the delicious dishes you’ve prepared, completing an immersive experience in Lima’s culinary culture.

Next, explore Lima’s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fascinating historic buildings. Start with a scenic tour in the colonial downtown. See the Main Square, where you can appreciate the grandiose architecture of the Spanish Empire. Admire Lima’s Cathedral, built during the 16th century and then visit the Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted by chief conquistador Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jeronimo de Aliaga. This is the only house from that time still belonging to the same family. Continue to the traditional Pueblo Libre district and visit the Larco Museum, located in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid from the seventh century. The museum boasts a complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art.

Day 3 LIMA: DISCOVERING THE STREET FOOD

Today, experience the local cuisine in Barranco, a traditional and picturesque district considered Lima's most romantic and bohemian. In the early 20th century, Barranco housed the summer residences of the wealthiest families, leaving behind a unique architectural legacy. With its 20th-century mansions, art galleries, and vibrant nightlife, this district is one of the most charming in the capital. After exploring its delightful streets, stop at a typical street food stand to sample local delicacies. Try the traditional "anticucho," a beef heart skewer marinated with garlic, vinegar, and ají panca. Then, try the delicious picarones, an iconic dessert made from squash.
