9-Day Great Migration & Crater Safari

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your private guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the day resting, briefing on the adventure ahead, and enjoying the views of Mount Meru.

Depart Arusha after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds and iconic ancient baobab trees, you'll enjoy a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River. In the evening, head to your lodge for dinner.

Drive through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands and descend into the vast, endless plains of the Central Serengeti (Seronera). This area is famed for its year-round resident big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) tracking the local wildlife.

Spend a dedicated day exploring the Seronera Valley and its famous kopjes (rock formations where lions love to lounge). Your guide will track resident predators, large herds of buffalo, and beautiful birdlife along the riverbanks.

Journey north through the changing landscapes of the park to the remote Northern Serengeti. As you approach the Kogatende area, you'll start encountering the massive mega-herds of the Great Wildebeest Migration gathering near the border.

A thrilling day dedicated entirely to the Mara River area. You will position along the riverbanks to witness the dramatic, high-stakes moment where thousands of wildebeest plunge through crocodile-infested waters in their race toward the Maasai Mara.

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the north before embarking on a scenic drive back south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at a rim lodge in the evening to catch an incredible sunset over the crater floor.

Descend 600 meters into the volcanic caldera for an immersive half-day game drive. The crater floor offers an incredibly dense wildlife haven, giving you the absolute best chance to spot the endangered black rhino and complete your Big Five checklist. Drive back to Arusha late afternoon.
