Our journey into Cretan culture begins with an introduction to its famed "liquid gold." At a traditional, four-generation olive oil production facility, you’ll discover the rich history of the olive, learn about harvesting methods from ancient times to the present day, and enjoy a tasting of premium-quality olive oil—an experience sure to elevate your senses.
Monastery Saint George
You will make a short stop at the monastery of Agios Georgios ''Selinari ''to give a closer look at one of the historical monasteries of Crete.
Plaka Spinalonga
Then you will be greeted by the emblematic bay of Merabelo with the clear blue waters. one of the most unique authentic corners of Cretan beauty is revealed in an area that hides within it all the beauty and essence of the Cretan landscape are the traditional fishing villages of Elounda and Plaka
from the port of Plaka we will board at a boat that will take us to the historical island of Spina Longa where you will admire the fortress and the former settlement of lepers. Αlternatively you can browse the picturesque alleys of Plaka, enjoying the view of the Cretan sea or swim in the deep blue waters of Merabelos bay
Traditional Lunch at Local Taverna
Here we’ll make a stop at a local tavern where you can enjoy food cooked in a wood-fired oven or traditional homemade dishes, with a stunning view of the Lasithi Plateau.
Land ot Zeus
A stop to enjoy the stunning view of the Lasithi Plateau, where in the past there were over 10,000 windmills used to draw water for the gardens. It is also the site where, according to Greek mythology, Zeus was born.
Krasi
Νext stop at the village of Krasi where stands the famous plane tree of Krasi which is more than 2000 years old tree. There you will enough time to have a coffee at one of the local taverna and take unforgettable photos .
