In Krasi Village
you'll stroll through charming stone alleys, see the ancient 2,000-year-old plane tree, visit historic fountains, and soak in the peaceful, authentic atmosphere of a traditional Cretan mountain village—far from the crowds and full of local charm.
Step 3
You’ll pass by the historic Kera Kardiotissa Monastery. Upon request, we can stop for a quick visit to admire its frescoes, peaceful courtyard, and rich spiritual heritage.
Step 4
Experience stunning views of traditional white windmills against the mountain backdrop, immerse themselves in authentic rural life by meeting shepherds and learning about local farming, and enjoy hands-on activities like picking fresh strawberries. They’ll also sample delicious local goat yogurt and cheese, explore sites linked to the legend of Zeus, and soak in the peaceful, pastoral atmosphere that makes this place truly special.
Step 5
Enjoy authentic Cretan hospitality with slow-cooked, farm-to-table dishes made in a traditional wood-fired oven. Nestled in the picturesque village of Lagou, this family-run taverna offers over 40 years of local flavors and warm service—a true taste of Crete’s culture and cuisine.
