Itinerary
Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2,900m) – 7-8 hrs

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through winding hills, terraced farms, and quiet towns to reach Dhap, the starting point of the trek. As you leave the city behind, rural Nepal slowly unfolds, offering glimpses of everyday life.

Day 2 Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2,820m) – 4-5 hrs

A gentle trail takes you through pine forests and open ridges with views of Numbur Himal and distant Everest. Arriving in Jhapre, a quiet Sherpa village, you'll visit a local Buddhist monastery and enjoy warm hospitality.

Day 3 Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (3,640 5-6 hrs

Today’s trail climbs through alpine meadows and dense forests draped with colourful prayer flags. As you gain altitude, the landscape opens up with expansive views and grazing yaks. Reach Pikey Base Camp, nestled beneath the peak.

Day 4 Hike to Pikey Peak (4,065m) & Trek to Loding (2,515m) – 6-7 hrs

Start early to catch the breathtaking sunrise from Pikey Peak. On a clear day, you’ll see a panorama from Everest to Dhaulagiri, including Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Lhotse. After soaking in the views, descend through lush forests to Loding village.

Day 5 Trek from Loding to Junbesi (2,700m) – 5 hrs

Continue your journey to the cultural heart of the lower Everest region—Junbesi. This beautiful Sherpa village is home to the ancient Thupten Chholing Monastery, a vibrant centre of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 6 Rest/Exploration Day in Junbesi

Take a relaxed day to explore Junbesi and its surroundings. Visit local schools or monasteries, or hike to nearby viewpoints. This cultural day adds depth to your journey and allows time for rest.

Day 7 Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu (2,470m) – 5 hrs

A pleasant descent through forests and farmlands brings you to Phaplu, a bustling mountain town with a small airstrip. Enjoy your final evening in the mountains, celebrating your achievement with your trekking team.

Day 8 Drive or Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu – 9 hrs drive or 35 min flight

Drive back to Kathmandu by private jeep or opt for a short mountain flight (weather permitting). Reflect on the week’s journey, carrying home not just photos, but peace and perspective.
