The name of the area Changunarayan is after one of the oldest and most revered Hindu temples in Nepal, located atop a hill in Bhaktapur district, about 12 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is a masterpiece of traditional Nepali architecture and is believed to date back to the 4th century. It is richly adorned with intricate wood and stone carvings, showcasing the artistic excellence of the Licchavi period. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hike end near this Temple.
