This is 10 days adventure trip to Myanmar starting from Yangon and ends in Yangon as well. Explore Amarapura, the ancient city, and visit the 200-year old U Bein teak bridge, built-in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the Royal capital, Visit Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda at Sagaing and the Sagaing Hills, Cross the Chindwin River by local boat and drive to visit a sandstone cave system in the Phowin Hills, named after a famous “Zawgyi, Visits the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda and Annada Temple, Cross the Inle Lake by boat, and enjoy typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life, local markets, and magnificent sceneries.

Day 1 – Arrival in Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport, you’re welcomed by our experienced English Speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in Hotel (14:00 hrs). Free leisure and overnight at Yangon.

Day 2 – Yangon – Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon airport for flight to Mandalay (Approx: 1:20 mins). Mandalay, the commercial center and cultural tourism site were established in 1857 by King Mindon. Arrive at Mandalay International Airport. First, excursion to Amarapura, the ancient city, and visit 200-year old U Bein teak bridge, built-in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Visit traditional hand–woven silk workshop teak posts. After the visit, the journey continues to Mandalay through varied agricultural landscapes and villages. Check-in hotel and leisure. Visit one of the most revered religious images in Myanmar, the Mahamuni Pagoda. Stop to see stone carving and later to see gold leaf being beaten into wafer-thin pieces. Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace Monastery), Kuthodaw (MahaLawkamarazein Pagoda) which is famous as the world’s largest book of many stone slabs on which is inscribed the whole Buddhist Literature.

Day 3 – Mandalay – Sagaing – Monywa (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. First visit Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda at Sagaing and the Sagaing Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees and after the visit, the journey continues to “Monywa” (4 hrs driving) pass through varied agricultural landscapes and villages. On the way visit, Thanboddhay Pagoda about 20 kilometers out of Monywa. And then visit Boddhi Tataung Pagoda. Drive to Monywa to Check-in the hotel to relax and being ready for tomorrow’s tour.

Day 4 – Monywa – Phowin Taung Caves – Pakkoku – Bagan (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the jetty and cross the Chindwin River by local boat and drive to visit a sandstone cave system in the Phowin Hills, named after a famous “Zawgyi “(alchemist) who once lived here. Visit Shwe Ba Hill. Drive back to Monywa and heading a drive to Bagan bypassing Pakokku (1 hr driving). Proceed to the north of Pakokku (20km), the remains of Pakhangyi, a 19th-century town. Drive back to Pakokku and transfer to the jetty. Excursion local ferry boat trip to Bagan (not express boat) 2 hrs sailing. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and you will be free on your own for the rest of the day.

Day 5 – Bagan (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. The day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th as a religious shrine. Continue to visit Annada Temple a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas, and the adjacent brick monastery with the beautiful well–preserved 18th-century murals. Visit Thatbinnyu Temple know as “temples of omniscience” and dating from 1144. Continue visit to the Sulamani temple. Transfer to the hotel and leisure. Afternoon, visit one of Myanmar’s most treasured handicrafts, a lacquerware home Industry: nearby Myingabar village. Continue Damayangyi Temple (the massive temple in Bagan). An experience by local Horse–cartway to Sunset area.

Balloon flight over Bagan (Optional)
The car from Balloon Company will pick up at 5:30 AM in your hotel and transfer to the launching sites of the Balloon ride. The ride will take you about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the wind situation. Then transfer to your hotel back.
Charges: 300$/person (Surcharge 25$/person on Christmas and New Year period)
Important Notice: Balloons in Bagan can operate only from October to End of March and can’t operate starting from April to September.
Ballooning will depend on weather conditions and in case of canceling the balloon, we will fully refund, Please kindly advise in advance and kindly confirm back with your Body Weight. Any passenger in excess of 125/280 pounds or any passenger, who requires the space in the basket for 2 passengers, will be required to book the additional extra space at the time of booking.
Day 6 – Bagan – Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Mandalay Airport departs for Heho by flight (Approx: 30 mins). Arrive in Heho and drive to Pindaya (Approx: 2 hours). Visit magnificent Pindaya caves set in a limestone ridge overlooking a picturesque lake where thousands of different types of Buddha images are displayed in the various cave chambers. Continue to visit some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols. Drive to Kalaw (the hill station).

✈️Domestic flight from Mandalay to Heho is included.
Day 7 – Kalaw – Nyaung Shwe Jetty – Inle Lake (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Visit morning colorful local market. Starts drive down into the valley to Nyaungshwe on the edge of the Inle Lake: famous for its unique leg rower; by A/C coach (about 2 ½ hours). Arrive at Nyaungshwe and proceed to Inle lake by local boat and Check-in Hotel, Heading to the middle of Inle Lake including PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Southern Shan State. Floating Market Villages & Gardens where fruit and vegetables are grown. See traditional handicrafts – silk weaving on wooden handlooms and a blacksmith shop. Stop at Ngaphechaung Monastery which is the famous and oldest monastery in Inle Lake.

Day 8 – Inle – Indein – Inle (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg rower’s typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life, and magnificent sceneries. Visit one of the local markets in the Inle lake region (on market days by days). And then, an excursion by boat to the Western Shore of Inle Lake to the beginning of a stair path leading to the hidden and unknown Inn Dein Pagoda complex. Return back to the hotel. Free and leisure. Enjoy sunset at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 – Inle – Nyaung Shwe Jetty – Heho – Yangon (B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfers to the Heho Airport depart for Yangon by flight (Approx: 1:20 mins). Arrive at Yangon Airport and on the way to the hotel, Karaweik Royal Barge (A royal floating Barge on a lake for the fantastic photo view). Check in to your hotel. In the afternoon shopping at the Bogyoke Market (Scotts market) with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts, and gems stores. In the evening walking to Yangon Colonial Style city center. And bypassing the fruit market. In the evening, visit one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the Shwedagon Pagoda: its golden stupa is the ‘heart’ of Myanmar. The pagoda is believed 2,500 years old and the central stupa is surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. There are always many Myanmar people praying and making offerings at Pagoda. Transfer to the hotel and leisure.

Day 10 – Departure From Yangon (B)

The trip was excellent value for money. It was very well organized both by the guide and the company in the four main bases visited. We saw lots of interesting places each day but I never felt that we were pushed too hard.
