🏁 Tour Itinerary: Best of Bhutan Tour – 10 Days
Day 1: Arrive in Paro & Drive to Thimpu
Arrive in Paro by Druk Air flight. Bhutan is well connected with direct flights from Kathmandu, Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok), India (Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Gaya & Mumbai), Bangladesh (Dhaka). The flight offers you a beautiful view of mountains and landscapes. On arrival and after visa formalities you will be received by our representative and transferred to Thimphu (54 km, 1 & 1/2 hrs).
In the late afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Tashichodzong and Thimpu local town.

Day 2: Thimpu Sightseeing Tour
Morning, visit the Painting school, National library, Royal goldsmith workshop, and Handicraft centers.
Afternoon, visit the Memorial Chorten built-in memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, 15-century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare “Takin” national animal of Bhutan and drive further down with the good view of the Thimphu valley. Visit the new Drupthob nunnery temple and have free time in the market.

Day 3: Drive to Gangtey & Explore Phobjika Valley
Morning, drive 3 hours to Wangduephodrang crossing the Dochula pass 3100 meters. In fine weather, you will see the eastern Himalayan ranges including the highest mountain in Bhutan Mt. Gangar Punsum 7520 meters. The drive from the pass is all the way downhill dropping to the lower and warmer valleys of Lobesa.
Continue with an excursion to the Gangtey Gompa valley at an altitude of 2800 meters. The only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan is located here. This beautiful valley is also home to the rare Black Necked Cranes migrating from the Tibetan plateau to escape the harsh winter. Currently, there are 200 to 300 cranes residing in this valley and the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) is taking every measure to ensure the safety of the Cranes. While the cranes reside in the winter valley for 4/5 months the village folks are not allowed to make loud noises or fish in the river that runs through the valley. Explore the fascinating glacier valley and return to the Resort.

Day 4: Drive to Bumthang
Drive almost 6 hours crossing passes over 3000 meters. The route offers magnificent views of the Himalayas and beautiful landscape through scattered hamlets and forests of rhododendrons and pine. After one and half hours from Chendebji Chorten arrives at a small town known as Trongsa meaning a new village. The town mainly consists of fresh Tibetan refugees but the most impressive of all is the Trongsa Dzong. The whole of eastern Bhutan was controlled by this fortress during the mid 17th century. Proceed further to Bumthang visit the Chume weaving center.
Bumthang altitude 2600m, has an individuality that charms its visitors and separates it from other regions. Comprised of four smaller valleys, the deeply spiritual region of Bumthang is shrouded in religious legend. Here tales of Guru Padmasambhava and his re-incarnation known as Tertons still linger in most nooks and corners. It is also known for its woolen material (Yathra) which can be seen hung outside of houses for sale. Sightseeing – Visit the Jakar Dzong, 7th-century Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey monastery, Tamshing, and Kunchosum monastery

Day 5: Ura Valley Excursion
Excursion 2 hours to Ura village and visit the new Ura monastery. On the way visit the Mebartso meaning burning lake. Stroll around the village and return back to Guesthouse. Evening, walk to the swiss farm where apple juice, cider, cheese, etc are made.

Day 6: Drive to Trongsa
Drive to Trongsa retracing the same highway.

Day 7: Drive to Punakha
Morning, drive to Punakha. In Punakha visit the Punakha Dzong which served as the old capital of Bhutan. This remarkable fortress is built between two rivers and has survived many glacial floods and fire. Every year during the month of February a procession known as the Punakha Serda takes place to commemorate the victory over the Tibetans.

Day 8: Drive to Paro & Sightseeing Tour
Morning, drive 4/5hrs to Paro via visiting the oldest building in Bhutan, the Simtokha Dzong. It now serves as a Buddhist university.
Later visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel dzong which still attracts visitors due to the strategic location of the fort. The fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north in the early 17th century. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower locally known as Ta-Dzong. It was housed in the National Museum in the 1960s by the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The seven floors museum highlights various aspects of Bhutanese culture and history dating back to the 7th century. Short walk downhill to the Rinpung Dzong which serves as the administrative center and school for monks.

Day 9: Takshang Monastery Hike
Morning, hike to Takshang monastery also known as “Tiger Nest”. The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 3/4 hours through pine forests (total walk 4/5hrs). The monastery clings to a huge granite cliff 800 meters from the Paro valley. It is believed that the great saint Padmasambhava came in the 7th century on a flying tigress and meditated in a cave for 3 months. The demons were subdued who were trying to stop the spread of Buddhism and converted the Paro valley into Buddhism. During the end of the 17 century, a monastery was built on the spot where the saint mediated and it is a pilgrimage site for every Bhutanese to visit once in their lifetime. On return visit Kichu Lakhang.

THE BOOKING CONTRACT
Your booking will be confirmed once we acknowledge the confirmation of the services with acknowledgement of the applicable deposit amount. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport.
You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to us.
BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with the booking, notifying us if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.
By booking on behalf of another person or persons, you represent that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate.
You agree to disclose all relevant medical information accurately and fully. Nepal is mountainous region and involves walking activities. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions which may impact your ability to travel, participate in a Tour, travel to remote areas without access to medical facilities or may adversely affect the experience, you must disclose. We encourage you to consult with us if you have any medical condition and see if that impact your experience before booking the tour. In the event that you do not disclose the required Medical information to any reason before confirmation of the tour then we reserve the right to cancel your booking and all applicable cancellation fees will apply.
Any special requirements must be disclosed to us at the time of booking. We will do best efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests but this is not always possible given the nature of the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Food allergies and dietary restrictions if any must be disclosed at the time of booking. Again we will do best to accommodate your special request but cannot guarantee and will not be liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of first travel is considered to be a minor. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient coverage and comply with the terms of the applicable insurance plans. You are responsible for advising your insurer of the type of travel, destination(s) and activities included in your booking so that the insurer may provide appropriate coverage. We suggest you to bring medical & rescue if undertaking trekking/expeditions. You are strongly recommended to extend your coverage to include cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience while traveling. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any Tour offered by us.
PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES
We will not increase the price of your tour after you have paid. Tours are priced and advertised inclusive of applicable government taxes. Request you to refer inclusions and exclusions section. Any services not mentioned in includes will be extra and payable directly.
During festival season like Christmas Eve or New Year Eve date range, hotels do apply mandatory charges for Gala Dinner or any activities hosted as per your destination as in-house guests. Those surcharges will be extra – payable on the spot and will be informed to you separately accordingly if applicable for your date of travel.
All dates, itineraries and prices of Tours are subject to change at any time and the current price will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking, subject to any surcharges that may be levied in accordance with these Terms.
Tour prices do not include international or other airfare unless expressly mentioned in the Tour’s descriptions. We will quote the best price available for the travel dates requested at the time the quote is prepared. Quotes provide an estimate only and are not a firm price commitment or the applicable air carrier(s).
We acts only as a sales agent for the applicable air carrier and the air carrier terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of the air travel ticket. Please consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions and conditions of carriage for complete information including applicable cancellation terms. We are not responsible for changes in air itineraries or flight times and does not provide advice or alerts regarding air travel tickets, flight status or delays.
CANCELLATION BY THE PARTICIPANT
Please refer the cancellation policy as mentioned separately for applicable penalty if any tours cancelled by you after confirmation is made from our end.
CANCELLATION BY US
It is unlikely that we will be cancelling your tour after the confirmation sent under normal circumstances. However there are factors beyond our control such as Weather, political condition, Riots, Natural calamities or flight cancellation/delays. In such cases we will offer the alternative program.
We will not be responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non-refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
You acknowledge that travel products offered may involve risk to your health and safety. By traveling with the us in a country like Nepal & our area, you acknowledge that you have considered any potential risks to health and safety. You hereby assume responsibility for all such risks and release us from all claims and causes of action arising from any losses, damages or injuries or death resulting from risks inherent in travel, including adventure travel. You are strictly complying with all applicable laws and regulations of all countries and regions. Should you fail to comply with the above or commit any illegal act when on tour we reserve full right to cancel the tour with immediate effect with-out any refunds. You agree to bring any complaints as soon as possible in order to provide us the opportunity to properly address such complaint. You agree to inform your tour leader, guide or file handling person. We assume no liability for complaints that are not properly brought to the attention and cannot resolve or attempt to resolve complaints until proper notice is provided. Any complaint made after the completion of a tour must be received in writing within 15 days of the last day of travel.
“Optional Activities” refers to any activity, transportation, meal, product or service not expressly included in the Tour itinerary or price of the Tour and which does not form part of the Tour. You agree that any assistance given by our representative(s) in arranging, selecting, or booking, any optional activities is purely at your request and we makes no warranties and expressly disclaims any liability whatsoever arising from participation in optional activities or any information provided by any representative regarding any optional activities. You release us from all claims and causes of action arising from any damages, loss of enjoyment, inconvenience, or injuries related to or arising from participation in or booking of optional activities.
FLIGHT DELAYS OR CANCELLATION
Some of the tour products involve inclusions of domestic flights in Nepal. Flight operations will be subject to weather condition, ground reality or airlines decision hence for any delay or cancellation we will assist you fully to sort the issues or offer other possible alternatives. Any extra expenses or loss due to flight delay or cancellation will be considered as factors beyond our control. You will be responsible to settle the extra directly on the spot and we highly recommend you to bring the travel insurance covering such miscellaneous changes.
HEALTH REALTED PROBLEMS/COVID TESTS, RESULTS OR REPORTS
Health reports, Covid tests, sample, results and duration (time frame) will be subject to Hospital rules and testing capacities. We assume to be free of any liabilities for any adverse situation or condition.
The Contract and these Terms are subject to the laws of Nepal and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kathmandu, Nepal for the resolution of any dispute under these Terms or concerning any Tour, product or service.
