🏁 Tour Itinerary: 7 Day Tour of Argentina – Buenos Aires to El Calafate & Iguazu

Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires

Arrival in Buenos Aires, Airport pick-up & Drop off at accommodation.
Dinner-Tango Show with private transport to and from the show.

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour – El Calafate (B)

5 hr City Tour and transfer out. From your hotel, meet your local guide, get on a comfortable minivan or minibus and enjoy all the highlights of Buenos aires.
Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada, the executive office of the President of Argentina, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Cabildo.
San Telmo, one of the oldest and most preserved neighborhoods.
The port of La Boca, where the first Italian immigrants lived, and the famous street “Caminito”.
La Recoleta, famous for the cemetery that holds buried famous figures of Argentinian history.
Floralis Generica: a giant metal flower created by a local designer and which opens its petals at dawn.
During the visit, you are welcome to get some free time including lunch in a traditional café or brasserie.
At the end of your day, the guide will take you to the airport for your flight to El Calafate

Day 3: El Calafate (B, L)

Full day (approximate pick-up 9:00 am – approximate drop-off 04:00 pm) Tour with private guide & lunch box.
It is the classical tour to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier without physical demands and with plenty of time to explore the National Park’s walkways and balconies.
The guided tour departs from your hotel in El Calafate and, after a journey of 80km through a succession of lakes, streams, forests, and snowy mountains we arrive at the west end of the Magellan’s Peninsula, where the walkways complex and visitor’s area is located.
The walkways are arranged in several levels that allow you to see the glacier from different angles and balconies. Plenty of time will be granted to walk through the walkways and appreciate the Perito Moreno Glacier upfront. According to your fitness level, you will be able to reach the lowest balcony, which is the nearest to the glacier or only get to the first balcony which is easily accessible for everyone and from where you have a spectacular view. An elevator is currently operating to facilitate access to the first balcony to people with reduced mobility.
A one-hour boat ride in front of the south face of the glacier is included.
At the end of the tour, you are taken back to your hotel.

Day 4: El Calafate to Iguazu (B, L)

You will be taken to the airport to fly to Iguazu.

Day 5: Iguaçu National Park – Trekking Tour (B, L)

Transfer to Iguaçu National Park. Argentina side
Walking tour to central station & train ride to Garganta/Throat station (25min)
Devil’s Throat  – Sightseeing of the highest and largest waterfall
Upper Falls Trail – Different perspectives and views of the San Martin fall, the second-highest with 2 massive layers.
Lower Falls Trail – Getting very close to Bossetti fall, a wide water curtain.
Walking back or using the train

Walking distance: 8-10 km (from item 1 to 6) it’s not mandatory to do all the trails.
DURATION: 6-7 hrs (it depends how long you stop for photographs)

Day 6: Iguaçu National Park to Buenos Aires (B)

Transfer to Iguaçu National Park, Brazilian side. Flight back to Buenos Aires

1. Transfer to Iguaçu National Park and drive-thru the subtropical rainforest
2. Tour on the Brazilian side of the falls with panoramic views of the Iguassu Falls facing the Argentinean side, the more you walk the better it gets…
3. Walking tour on the main platform above the Iguassu River, feels like you are surrounded by waterfalls, in the end, a spectacular view of Devil’s Throat!
4. Way back with panoramic glass elevator and view of the upper river part of and good spots for photos.

At the end of the tour, you are taken to the airport to fly to Buenos Aires.

Day 7: Departure Day (B)

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport.
