Day 1: Amman Airport – Amman Hotel

Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! Your English-speaking driver meets you in the waiting hall after the customs area. 45 minutes drive to your hotel in Amman. Check-in remainder of the day free to rest or explore Jordan’s capital on your own.

Day 2: Amman Hotel – Jerash – Dead Sea – Amman Hotel (B)

Pick up the hotel lobby and drive 50kms northward to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Once a member of the Decapolis the town experienced its heydays under the Romans. Explore the spectacular Forum, the Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, theatres, and the Temple of Artemis. Drive 1.5 hours to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you have leisure time at the beach and the chance to float in salty waters. Showers and lockers available. Return transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Day 3: Amman Hotel – Mt Nebo – Madaba – King’s Way – Kerak Castle – Petra Hotel (B)

Check out from the hotel to hit the road towards Petra. Your first destination is Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. You visit the old monastery, overlook the Jordan Valley and parts of the Holy Land. Short ride to Madaba, where to find the famous mosaic 6th-century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. Driving along the famous ancient caravan route the King’s Way, we have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation. In Kerak visit the famous Crusader castle built in 1132/34 by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. Continue to Petra.

Day 4: Petra Visit – Petra Hotel (B)

Today visit the highlight of Jordan, the red rose city Petra! You are able to start as early as 06:00, but early birds, don’t forget to ask the hotel for a breakfast box the day before. Pass the narrow canyon, the so called Siq, with its colorful sandstone. In the end, you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. Climb the 800 stairs to the 45 meters high Monastery El
Deir. Return to the main gate. Overnight Petra hotel.

Day 5: Petra Hotel – Wadi Rum 3 hours Jeep Ride – Amman Hotel (B)

After breakfast embark a 4×4 and with your Bedouin driver uncover more of the vast Wadi Rum desert. The rugged landscape, the changing colors of sands and mountains, the serene atmosphere will make you understand why Wadi Rum is one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. The setting had been used for Hollywood movies. You see canyons, red sand dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions, and a natural rock bridge formed over centuries. Say farewell to the desert and begin with a long, 4 hours journey, back to Amman.

Day 6: Amman Hotel – Amman Airport (B)

Dependent on your departure time, you will be driven to Amman Airport to say farewell to Jordan!
