🏁 Tour Itinerary: Far North Lighthouse Experience
Day 1: Paihia, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, and Russell Mini Tour
Get to know the highlights of the bay of islands on this guided tour. Discover Paihia and the historic township of Russell, New Zealand’s first capital on this relaxing coach tour. Visit the historic Waitangi treaty grounds where you will gain an understanding of New Zealand’s early history. Next, we board the Fullers ferry to Russell, the first capital of New Zealand and a significant place in history for both the Māori and European settlers. The 1-hour mini-tour of Russell takes you to the town’s iconic locations before the return ferry trip back to Paihia. You will have the rest of your day at leisure to explore Paihia and relax with an overnight stay.
This is the Platinum package includes superior accommodation on a twin-sharing basis with complimentary breakfast. The standard package is available on request.
Day 2: Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach Experience (B)
Be ready for a journey like no other with a full-day coach tour into the Far North of New Zealand. Along the way you’ll visit ancient kauri forests, drive along the sand of the ninety-mile beach and even have a go at sandboarding, surfing down the massive sand dunes at Te Paki stream. A visit to the very tip of Aotearoa (New Zealand) will open your eyes to Māori culture as you learn of the spiritual significance of this place – Cape Reinga, where two oceans collide.
Day 3: Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise (B)
Take a half-day hole in the rock cruise and explore the bay in search of dolphins while visiting its highlights. You could be watching dolphins as they leap and play in sheltered waters or keep an eye out for other marine mammals like whales and seals. Cruise in and out of beautiful unspoiled islands, see the remote Cape Brett lighthouse and the impressive hole in the rock at Motukōkako Island. At the end of your journey, enjoy the spectacular views from the Auckland harbor bridge as you arrive in Auckland’s central city by night. Your journey home will be equally enjoyable as your tour guide’s combination of local insight, extensive historical knowledge, and fantastic sense of humor, create an unforgettable adventure.

Cancellation policy (Day Tours)
In the event, you have purchased a day tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 7 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 2 – 6 days prior to travel date, 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 24 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Cancellation policy (Overnight Tours)
In the event, you have purchased an overnight tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 15 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 10 – 14 days prior to the date of the tour – 25% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 4 – 9 days prior to the date of the tour – 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 72 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Terms & Conditions:
Changes to reservations will incur an amendment fee of 10% of total package price to cover our administration and communication costs. We may also need to pass on any amendment/cancellation fees imposed by our suppliers. All reservations and changes must be made by contacting our reservations department.
You agree to indemnify ExperienceKart Limited against any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred by ExperienceKart Limited, its officers, employees, agents or related companies as a result of any claim by any third party whose claim arises from your use of your ticket or your acts or omissions while travelling on any ExperienceKart Limited tours & services.
