💎 Why we love it ?

During this 3 days tour, you will visit Ephesus and Pamukkale. Only 20% of the city has been excavated so far, however, the site is large, well preserved, archeologically interesting, and historically significant. It contains the largest collection of Roman ruins in the Eastern Mediterranean. Some of the highlights of ancient Ephesus are The Library of Celsus, The Odeon, The Temple of Hadrian, The Great Theater. You can also visit Pamukkale and enjoy both history and nature, you can see the remains of Hierapolis – an ancient city and healing center, and enjoy the thermal pools of Pamukkale.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Pamukkale and Ephesus Tour from Istanbul

Day 1: Istanbul to Izmir

We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for the Izmir flight. Arriving in Izmir and transfer to your hotel in Kusadası.

Day 2: Ephesus (B, L)

We will first visit Ephesus, the largest open-air museum in Turkey, and the best-preserved classical city in the Eastern Mediterranean. Cleopatra, Mark Antony, Virgin Mary, and John the Apostle once walked its streets. As you walk through this spectacular city, a local guide will give you information about life in ancient Rome. (We usually spend about 2 hours in Ephesus.)
After Ephesus, we will visit the House of Virgin Mary. According to Christian tradition, Mary was brought to Ephesus by Apostle John after the Resurrection of Christ and lived her final days there.
After lunch, we will visit The Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world.
Afterward, depending on your interests and available time, you can visit other sites in the area: Basilica of St. John, Ephesus indoor Museum, and Terrace Houses. (Please note that entrance fees to these sites are NOT included in to tour price. Your guide would help you to buy the entrance tickets)
You can also visit the carpet weaving center, leather outlet, or ceramic workshops in the area. (Please note that shopping is strictly optional.)

We will make a short break for taking photos and after that continue walking to the well-preserved Roman theater.
Passing by the Roman baths, we will reach the Ancient Pool where you can spend some of your free time swimming in warm spring water. Instead, you can also choose to spend that time walking barefoot down the Travertines, filled with thermal water enriched with calcium.
We will have lunch before or after visiting Pamukkale.
Transfer to Denizli airport for the Istanbul flight and when you arrive in Istanbul; you will be transferred to your hotel.
