🏁 Tour Itinerary: Egypt Nile Cruise Tour (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel) + Flights & Guide
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Arriving at Cairo International Airport (Code: CAI), you will be assisted by our representative, and transferred by private A/C car to your hotel. Then, you will check-in and have an overnight at the hotel. ( ☘️ The regular price includes 4-Star Hotel fees. You can also upgrade to a 5-Star hotel)

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Sakkara (B, L)
Your second day will start with breakfast at your hotel. At 9:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo by the tour guide to begin your full-day tour visiting Giza Pyramids, where you can see the Great Pyramids – Cheops as well as Chephren & Mykerinos. Then, we will visit the Valley Temple where the Priests Mummified the dead body of King Chephren. Also, you will have a close-up look at The Sphinx – the legendary guardian that stands by the massive funeral complex with its lion body and the head of king Chephren (2:30 hrs time spent). Lunch is included in between visits at Local Restaurant (Full Meal for each Person), but Beverages are not included (1 hr Time Spent). Afterward, you will visit Sakkara, located only 27 km southwest away from Cairo. Enjoying the Step Pyramid (Built for king Zoser), which is considered an important part of the pyramid evolution process made from the simple mastaba to its widely known form, is also included (2 hrs Time Spent). At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. The duration of the tour is from 9:00 to 4:00 PM.

Day 3: Cairo- Luxor (B, L, D) – ✈️ Domestic flight ticket from Cairo to Luxor is included.
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be departed by domestic flight to Luxor. Our representative will meet and assist you at the airport. Then, you will be transferred to your Nile Cruise for Embarkation before Lunch. In the afternoon, you will start your tour by visiting The East bank of Luxor, where you will visit Karnak and Luxor Temples Dinner on Board. You will enjoy an overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor – Edfu (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will visit the west bank of Luxor, the incredible Valley of the Kings, where generations of pharaohs & Nobles were buried in splendid crypts cut into the cliffs and guarded by the huge colossi of Memnon. You will then visit the temple of Queen Hatchepsut. Now, you will be returned to the cruise and enjoy an afternoon sail to Edfu. Your overnight experience will be on board Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu – Kom Ombo (B, L, D)
After an enjoyable early breakfast morning, you can be stunned by visiting Edfu as well as discovering the huge temple dedicated to the god Horus by horse carriage and tour it with your guide sail to Kom Ombo board. Then, you will visit the magnificent unusual double temple dedicated to the god Sobek and the god Haroeris. The dinner will be in Kom Ombo sail to Aswan, and you will have another overnight stay.

Day 6: Aswan – Abu Simbel (B, L, D)
After an early breakfast (Breakfast box), meet your guide at 3:30 AM to move by private A/C coach and cross 350 K/M to Visit the Temple of Abu Simbel and return at noon to your cruise. You will have lunch on board and dinner as well as an overnight stay.

Day 7: Aswan – Cairo (B, L)
You will disembark after breakfast and start your day to visit high dam, unfinished obelisk, and Phila Island. In the afternoon, you will have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, you will be transferred to the Aswan Airport, returning to your hotel in Cairo with an overnight stay.

Day 8: Egyptian Museum – Old Cairo (B, L)
After breakfast, you will start your full-day tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of Egyptian art in the world. The museum exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts, dating back to 5000 years ago, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamon – a collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Then, we will move to visit the Coptic area where you can see the church of Abu-Sergah and ST, Barbara, the hanging church, the old Jewish synagogue-Ben Ezra. Your lunch will be at a local restaurant, and at the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. The duration of the tour will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Day 9: Depart from Cairo Airport (B)
You will have breakfast, and our representative will meet you to check out. The representative will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for the final departure.

Communications:
Since I started the initial exploring emails with Ahmed, he effectively took over the responsibilities to plan the entire trip for me. Ahmed proactively supplied the details including brochures and pictures to help us make decisions on the 9-day program plus the optional trips such as Alexandria, Nubian Village, and Hot Air Balloon ride over Valley of the Kings. During the trip, Ahmed checked on us everyday to ensure our guides and the activities were meeting our expectations. 👍 He is always communicative, straightforward, and reliable. We trust him 120%. He genuinely treats the visitors as his friends.
Knowledgeable Guides:
1. Momdouh is the BEST guide in Cairo. The way he passionately described the history made the Kings, the Queens, and all persona come alive. He wants to share as much as possible so the visitors have a fun and insightful experience. Walking with Momdouh in Cairo felt like accompanying the mayor. People greet him on the street with admiration and respect. He knows all the monuments, buildings, trees, and rocks. Thank you, Momdouh. You should run for the mayor. 👍
2. Mohamed took us on the 5-day river cruise visiting Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. In addition to explaining the history and the architecture, he also told us about the diverse people and the cultural differences. 👍 Bonus activities Mohamed kindly offered us that other cruise guests did not have the opportunity to enjoy: 1) He taught us the basics of Hieroglyphics + some symbols so we could identify some scripts on the ancient walls. 2) He took us to the local market to experience the authentic local lifestyle and negotiated the best price for our shopping. 3) On a small boat ride to Nubian Village, he found a beautiful corner on Nile River and let us swim in the river. We absolutely loved it. (No worries – There is no crocodile in the river downstream of the dams.) 4) On the River Cruise, we visited the Captain’s bridge and honk the horn at the boats we were passing by. Thank you, Mohamed. We are still talking about you in the US.
3. Hassan is the BEST driver in Cairo. We went everywhere safe and fast in the midst of the extremely chaotic yet uneventful traffic. 👍 He sometimes stopped the van to buy local food and juice to share with us out of his kindness. (You must try these juices: mango, guava, & sugar cane. Yummy!) Though Hassan is not an official guide, we learned many landmarks in Cairo and Alexandria from him. In addition, he respectfully shared the 5 pillars of Islam with us. Hassan is a model Muslim. Thank you, Hassan. We miss you.
Transportations:
Egypt Direct Tours did an excellent job arranging all the transportations including cars, domestic flights, river cruise, local boats, and horse carriage. The vehicles were always waiting upon our pickups. Other tourists admired us being ushered to the private transport in style. We simply hop on and off to start or continue our fun activities. 😀
Summary:
Our trip was “perfection”. Our only complaint is that we should have stayed longer. Egypt Direct Tours took very good care of us so we could focus on learning and enjoying Egypt without worrying about the research, planning, or logistics. We truly maximized the experience and the VALUE. 👍 We are going to send all our friends to Egypt Direct Tours so they have a wonderful trip like ours. 😀

This was the most memorable travel experience I have ever had with my wife. All the sites I visited including Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Old Cairo, Luxor were spectacular. My travel guide Mr. Nasser made the trip memorable. He also had a great sense of humor as we keep joking in the Arabic Language kept me laughing throughout the trip. The driver Abdullah was also very friendly, always ready to help with currency exchange, bringing beer and wine. Luxor trip driver and guide were also very helpful. We had a excellent and our tour was organized perfectly our guide Fayad was amazing and very friendly she had great knowledge of the area and history of Egypt. we did a private tour as we were 4 of us with my parents and kids they picked us from the airport they were there on time the Nile cruise dinner was great, the tour that included lunch lunch was very nice we had a amazing time. The van was nice and spaces and very comfortable. the driver was very friendly and helpful too.
