Mardi Himal Trek

Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival

The first day of your adventure trip to the Mardi Himal Base Camp starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.

Day 2 – Kathmandu – Pokhara (B)

We will drive to Pokhara today. It is a long day’s drive to the beautiful lake city that is 200 kilometers to the west of Kathmandu. About six hours of the drive along the highway takes us through beautiful villages, towns, rivers, and other wonderful surroundings. We will reach Pokhara in the afternoon that leaves us enough time to go for a stroll around the Lakeside and enjoy the beauty of Fewa Lake. Pokhara offers a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the mountains from the city itself. Exploring around and soaking in the beauty of Pokhara, we will spend quite leisurely time preparing for the trek to start tomorrow.

Day 3 – Pokhara – Pothana (1,700m) – (B, L, D)

As it is our first day of the trek, we get ready for the same. We drive for about half an hour to Phedi and start the walking adventure for the day. The very beginning of the trek is an uphill one through lush forest to emerge to a village that leads us to a famous Dhampus village. We will trek even further to Pothana to stay overnight. Pothana is a famous overnight camp for trekkers in the region. Situated amidst beautiful natural surroundings, Pothana offers us a beautiful and easy time after walking for about 5 hours.

Day 4 – Pothana – Forest Camp (2,600m) – (B, L, D)

Our day today will be full of beautiful lush forest walking experiences. About 6 hours of the walk today goes mostly through the forest to the Forest Camp. You will go through a beautiful forest of rhododendron, schema Wallich, and several other trees to the destination. The walk today will bring you one of the best nature walking experiences that you will ever get. The lovely walk along a fairly easy trail to the destination offers a peaceful excursion experience. We reach Forest Camp to stay overnight amidst natural surroundings.

Day 5 – Forest Camp – High Camp (3,550m) – (B, L, D)

Another wonderful day of a nature walk with a spectacular view of the mountains on a clear day, we will trek all the way to the High Camp to stay overnight. It is an all-uphill walk today that introduces us to the beauty of a high elevation climatic situation. The walk will also bring us a beautiful view of mountains like Fishtail and Mardi along with the ridge that extends southwards to meet the valley below. When we reach the High Camp after the walk of about 5 hours, we can enjoy an overwhelming view of the mountains in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. We stay to enjoy the surroundings and settle into the comfort of our teahouse.

Day 6 – High Camp – Mardi Base Camp (4,500m) – Low Camp (2,970m) – (B, L, D)

It is an early morning day today to go for a hike to the Mardi Himal Base Camp. We start the day much before the break of the dawn and walk all the way up to the base camp of Mardi Himal that stands at an elevation of 4,500 meters above sea level. Once we reach the Viewpoint, we can enjoy some breathtaking and unreal views of the mountains in the Annapurna region. We can also see the Annapurna sanctuary gorge much lower than where we are standing. From the Viewpoint to the Base Camp, the walk goes on the Mardi ridge that offers captivating mountain views.
Later, we trek back to the High Camp and further down to the Low Camp to stay overnight.

Day 7 – Low Camp – Sidding – Pokhara – (B, L)

It is the final day of the walk on this adventure trip. Just a short walk of three hours down to Sidding village through the forest brings the walk to the end. We take a jeep ride back to Pokhara which takes more or less 2 hours. Once we reach Pokhara, we will have a free and relaxing time to wander around.

Day 8 – ​Pokhara – Kathmandu (B)

We will drive back to Kathmandu today along the same highway that we took earlier to go to Pokhara. There is also an option of flying back with the payment of the extra cost for the flight. Back in Kathmandu, we will take and enjoy leisurely time around.

Day 9 – Departure Day (B)

The 09 Days Mardi Himal Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking to the beautiful Mardi Himal base camp in the Annapurna region. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.
